  1. I'll be in PA...
  2. Alright, I'm thinking I will probably try to make it but if I do, I'll probably drive myself because I'll have to be back earlier than you are planning. It depends a lot on how I feel tomorrow morning and some of my friends' plans. If I don't end up going, thanks for the offer anyway and good luck. If I do decide to go, I'll be there around 8, probably by the fishing pier wearing a camo JMU hat.
  3. That might be a little farther than I have time for. Are you guys shore fishing or taking boats?
  4. I'd probably be going in the late morning/early afternoon.
  5. I have been interested in these baits but I was worried about the quality because of it being made by Strike King (I know they make some good stuff, but my experience with them has been very poor). Thanks for the heads up.
  6. I'm in town for Thanksgiving and I may try to wet a line on Wednesday the 21st, preferably somewhere close. I was thinking maybe Mercer or even Bull Run. If anyone is interested, let me know. Again, I'm not sure if I will be able to go, I just wanted to see if anyone might be interested just in case.
  7. Well the only other creek I can see in that area on google maps is one that comes through Clifton. I've thought about trying that creek before, maybe I'll give it a shot, even if it isn't the one you're talking about. Funny how some members of the forum are so open about offering spots to other members and others are so protective.
  8. I can't believe it would take so long to heal.
  9. 71rig, are you talking about Cub Run? that's the only creek near there I can think of...
  10. awesome fish! congratulations
  11. are you using internet explorer or firefox?
  12. Nice! I think next time I want to try the manassas side of the bridge. Looks like it has better paths. Yeah, it does, but be careful, I saw a guy hunting on that side last time I was out.

eh, I chuckled when I saw the score.

    agreed
  15. I caught one near 2lbs by that big rocky bluff to the right of the bridge and up and over that hill. Great place to fish sometimes, difficult at others. One time I caught a LMB, SMB, and about a 7lb catfish on the same bait within an hour there.
  16. switch out the hooks on the rat-l-trap. They are notorious for coming with crappy hooks.
  17. shoulda tried the jerkbait and if the bottom wasn't too leafy a shakey head
  18. They got a lot of spots in that river, don't they?
  19. [sarcasm]Yeah, it's really too bad the Union was restored...What a bummer :-? [/sarcasm]
  20. but where in Fredericksburg do you plan on fishing. I've fished the Rapp near Kelly's Ford and Motts Run and the Rapidan near Elys Ford.
  21. The Soviet Union, Turkey, Germany, China, Guatemala, Uganda, Cambodia...come on, I'm all for the 2nd amendment but to attribute deaths in those countries in those time periods to the fact that those countries had gun control is naive. There was much more going on in each of those countries that would have caused deaths like that regardless of gun laws.

I was very shocked but I watched it online and the synopsis said something about a tragic loss at the end so I kinda knew something was gonna happen. the last two were really great episodes
  23. Sorry to hear about that, T. Hopefully, like you say, it will turn into a blessing. It probably will if it was such a bad place to work. Good luck, my prayers are with you.
  24. make sure to get a few soft jerkbaits like flukes and especially some shaky head worms (preferably brown). I cannot say how much those two baits have done for me this year for catching smallies... Good luck, where are you fishing the Rapp?
  25. Sure, free health care sounds great, but it removes the benefits of the free market...mainly quality. Why do the rich from other countries come to america to get health care? Because it is the best. Plain and simple. Also, if Canada's health care is so great, why are Canadians coming to the United States to get treatment and pay out of pocket for it rather than wait for Canada's free healthcare to treat them?
