I said it's...
great, to be, a Tennessee Vol!!! Men's basketball team just upset the #1 ranked Kansas Jayhawks without 4 key players who were out after a big headline traffic stop. A game they were underdogs for with those 4 and a "no chance" team without them. Rocky Top!

Ravens v. Patriots
Well the Ravens showed up for a game today Ray Rice busting an 85 yd td on the first play from scrimmage and then the takeaway that led to another td. Where you at TIN???

Swimming Jig Color?
I fish my swim jigs around weed clumps and flooded bushes. I have had better luck using greens. My most productive swim jig is a 5/16 oz Booyah Baby Boo Jig in pumpkin/green flash. I match that with a green pumpkin twin tail grub.

Possible WBT Replacement?
I was thinking that the PAA might get involved and try to help out. That's good to hear that there is something in motion.

Best knot for fluorocarbon line with crankbaits?
I use a palomar with my 12lb fluoro. As long as you moisten the knot before tightening I have had no problems.

Ikes ganna be an abu guy!!
Actually I do factor what pros really use and not what they say they use. I think it says a lot for the baits the pros use that aren't sponsored by or rods that aren't their signature series.

Max 150 H.P. Circuit
Bocraw, You get the aba magazine whenever you join the aba. It's decent at best. It mainly has articles describing products from their sponsors. The articles about the guys who actually win are pretty good. Also, thanks for clearing up the prize also. I may fish the trail this year along with my regular aba trail.

Ikes ganna be an abu guy!!
My bet is you will see him fishing Vendetta rods and eventually he will have a signature series reel out as well. My guess is his take on the Premiere.

FLW spiraling down as well?
Probably. Looks like you had the same problem I did trying to post the link.

FLW spiraling down as well?
I guess I should add that the article went on to say that the two stated they wanted to know whether or not they should look for new sponsors but were again told they wouldn't know until after their entry fees were paid. The problem with getting their own sponsors is that FLW pros cannot wear any logos for companies that do not sponsor the FLW trail for any FLW related media events. That makes it extremely hard for FLW pros to find sponsors on their own.

Serious football question
They did that several times when they were down around the goalline. Beats the heck out of me.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
When I fish jigs around trees or on ledges or rock, I use jigs with mop-style skirt and longer trailers most of the time. Never heard of anyone in the grass though. Always hear use compact baits.

Little Cover Crank - Proto
That doesn't look bad. One bit of constructive criticism I'll give is that with a bait with such sharp and aggressive lines it needs some mean looking eyes as well!

Mayweather-Pacquiao
Looks like Pacquiao will fight on March 13. Joshua Clottey.

FLW spiraling down as well?
Just read an article on BF about FLW pros Craig Powers and Koby Krieger. They have dropped out of the FLW series this year due to treatment they say they received from FLW officials in the sponsor department. Both Powers and Krieger were members of an FLW Team. As many of you know, FLW has lost a lot of it's team sponsors over the last two years. Both Powers and Krieger said they called the FLW official in charge of the team sponsor deals and said that if they wanted to know if they would be resigned they would first have to pay their entry fees for all of the tournaments this year To go on further, the FLW official told them with the way the economy was they should "step-up" and give FLW the help that they had given the anglers over the years. Interesting...

Ike no longer with Daiwa
This is from another site... Ike noted: "This partnership is huge. It's a privilege to be working with Abu Garcia, Spiderwire and Berkley. When you think about fishing these are the big names that everyone recognizes. The partnership with these major fishing brands is one that holds a lot of promise. Their technologically advanced products will be a tremendous asset to me on the competitive circuits. I look forward to continuing a very successful relationship with the folks at Pure Fishing."

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
I've dragged around a football jig with a full brush hog on the end but I've never seen anybody flip grass with a bait that long. Good stuff!

Ike no longer with Daiwa
Those colors do match the Abu black and red

Iaconelli leaves Daiwa
There's already a discussion about this in the Tournament section. I agree about the Ike rods though. Keep an eye out.

Ike no longer with Daiwa
I don't know. Ike is as outlandish as skeet and has a larger fan following I would say. I don't think it's a stretch that Abu may give him his own model. It would have to be way different than Skeet's in my opinion. Maybe a more finesse version like a Premiere. Expect flames as well ;D

Depressed On Kentucky Lake
That is depressing :'( I've been wanting to get up there and do some fishing but the temps just keep getting colder and colder.

Southern Blizzard!
Well Carroll County was one of two in West TN that did not close school today haha. It's snowing here and in the low teens.

Alabama/Texas It's Time To Start This Thread
I'll give major credit to Texas and to Gilbert. Besides the last two minutes of the second half, they fought back and played extremely well. I had never heard of Gilbert before but after seeing his high school stats I hope that game doesn't ruin him. He had a lot of fight left in him and I hope he has a great career ahead of him.

Ike no longer with Daiwa
I agree. Sounds like they keep dumping the guys who require the higher dollar figure. I'm shocked of Ike though since they just introduced his lineup this past year. Look for them on clearance any day now
