  1. Agreed, but unfortunately, the kid pays for the parents stupidity!!!!!!!
  2. These parents need to be prosecuted. Will people never learn that these are WILD animals and are dangerous.... it happens many times every year!!! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap_travel/20080629/ap_tr_ge/travel_brief_yellowstone_tourist_injured
  3. UMmmmmmmmmmm dont see my mickey mouse special up there as an option!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  4. I use an Abu Garcia left handed retrieve, can not remember the model # but is the one with SS bearings.... It was actually my salmon reel when I lived in the Pacific Northwest..... Great cranking power and lots of line capacity.
  5. Now, you know that everyone here would be cheering you on to a #1 bestseller.. Maybe not on the NY times best read list,,, but on BassResource.com's must read list.

  8. You might want to try the Ragetail shad.. That thing will really tear up the water, when burned right at the surface.
  9. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Fresh Crab, and Corn on the cob.... not much of anything better.
  10. There is a reason they are called Panfish.. Maybe we should change the name to Fryin Panfish...
  11. Now that is funny right there, I dont care who you are!!!!!!
  12. Dont think you can go wrong with any of them. Personal preference has a lot to do with rod choice. If you like St. Croix, then I would stick with them. Me, I am not married to a rod manufacturer, (at least not for bass fishing) but when it comes to reels, I will always prefer Abu Garcia if I can get them at a good price.
  13. Brian, Keep this up and you may just have to write your own ebook on jig fishing ....lol.... Thank you for all the info, John
  14. Well, not sure if I broke the bank or not, but have a jig rod on the way..... One of the members had some Kistlers for sale.... SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH don't say anything to the wife,, or I will be sleeping in the back yard with the rod!!! : : ;D ;D
  15. Been fishing bass for 2 yrs. now,, not one fish on a jig.. > :'(
  16. What he said. I have spent as high as 300 in a month, and as little as 5 bucks.... depends on disposable cash available, and what the bait monkey tells me I must buy. :
  17. Brian, Thank you for taking the time to write all this indepth, I am sure it took some time to write, I am going to make what has been said about jigs, and print it and put it in my tackle box.... next 4 trips I take will be jig only,, I am bound and determined to master this. I may be asking more questions, but I am going to catch a fish on a jig. Thanks again, this really helps. On a side note, to the Mods, can we make this a sticky, like the Senko and Crig Stickys???????
  18. It was on the morning news on the radio this morning here.... prayers sent.
  19. Several bottles of water, and some summer sausage or pepperoni sticks..... like Fluke said,, to regroup and take a breather. In this Georgia heat, you dont want to get dehydrated. Oh, and a tube? of starburst,,,
  20. I just sold a bunch of lures, reels and even a rod... due to some financial problems at that moment. Well, we are fine, now, and the wife said since I had sold all that just to help out, I could have a new rod.... OH man is the bait monkey hounding me bad now............... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. The only way to test it that I know of, is put it in a bucket of water, that you have predetermined the temp of, with a meat thermometer. Maybe shock, it, one exteme to the other.
  22. That my friend is probably 99% of my problem, I am using BPS Tx special. I am looking for a better rod that I can afford, someday.
  23. Yes, it is the transducer, I went thru 3 of them before I got one that worked right every time out.
  24. Welcome aboard!!!
  25. Thanks for the info. So what size jig are you using? Most of my fishing is in 0-12 ft. of water. Although there is water out to 30 ft. in the lakes I fish. I have been using mostly 3/16 and 1/4 oz. jigs with curly tail grubs as trailers. Mostly FLW or Booyah brand jigs. (probably need to upgrade? ) I have not had a chance to get to BPS for the Rage Tail craws and chunks. Will make that a priority. The thing that drives me crazy is that I catch fish on a jighead and Monster worm,,,,just cannot get one with a jig.
