  1. I bought a "Fav" lure, but that great big clock attached to it, kept scaring the fish,, however, I always know when it is time to go home! ;D ;D ;D : : : :

I will fish a T rig almost anyplace, except in real thick grass, then i go to either a weightless rig(senko type) or a C rig..
  3. I read "It" before the movie came out, so I was prepared,, and I was a Stephen King Junkie for years... That movie could have been a lot better, I do not think "John Boy Walton" did the movie any favors.
  4. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( I miss my Seahawks,,,, they disappeared on me.. the defense I think is being played by the cheerleaders.. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
  5. Now that is hillarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say we create a new TV show... Trick My Lure!
  6. Heck, I thought those were videos of some of my family,, until I notice there was no skier behind the boat,, ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  7. Thanks guys, placing an order for the Yo Zuri, today... gonna give that a whirl, if that does not pan out for me,, I will try the braid again...
  8. The only reason I have not tried the Yo Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft, is I have not found any close to home, and have just not ordered any online. RW, are you saying the Hybrid Ultra Soft will work just as well on the baitcasters???? If so, then I will just go with that and see how it works out for me... As for fishing jigs on a spinning rod, it is what I am comfortable with... fishing ultra clear water, I fish mainly finesse jigs, and me and light lures on a baitcaster just dont get along so well.... As for the braid, I tried using Spider Wire, up till last year, I ended up cutting it off my reel and throwing it away...
  9. Have gone and got my hip waders on, now I can reply to this....... ;D ;D ;D ;D That be one story for the record books, true or not...... which I hope it is.. if not, well, I have my waders on, and since I come from a family of BSers... I can wade thru it,, and laugh like crazy at it
  10. Could not agree more about this forum and all the people on here... As for muddy ummmmmmmm man, you might want to go see a doctor,, cause your not plumbed for that sort of "experience" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  11. Dont mean to go off topic, but Fluke, if you need tips on fishing spinnerbaits, you could ask the guys on here,, or just ask your partner ummmmm Doghouse????? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D But then , the way you catch fish,, no need to like to use a spinnerbait.. just keep doin what your doin....
  12. OK, maybe my parents did waste thier money on my college education, because I am totally confused about this fishing line thing.... I think Roadwarrior has explained the advantages of Yo Zuri Ultra Soft enough that I am going to use it on my spinning reels.. However, I am totally confused on flourocarbon line vs. standard mono vs. braid for my baitcasting reels.... I use my baitcasters for crankbaits, spinnerbaits, C rigs, jigs, some T-rig etc...... I use my spin reels for jigs, top waters, T- rigs, drop shot etc..... I have been using a mixed bag of lines lately, Cajun Red, Stren, Trilene, etc... all monos of some sort... and I am just not happy with any of them at this point.. I used braid once, did not like it.. I thought my reel drag had quit working,, found out it was the line spinning on the reel...and digging into itself.. I have read as many of the posts as I could find on line, and choices, and everyones opinion,, but still I am confused :-? :-/ I normally use 10-14 lb test, and would like to find something in that same area, maybe with a smaller diameter, ?????? Is that possible??? I want this issue out of the way so I can go about working on the boat, and having fun winter fishing, practicing for Spring fishing!!!!!
  13. Only tips I can give you is 1) Be careful, and safe 2) HAVE FUN AND CATCH FISH!!!!
  14. no arguement from me putting it off till spring... since I will not be able to get out as much either.. gonna be decking and updating the jon boat....
  15. 13 ghosts was a good one.. so was See No Evil..... My wife loves the Saw movies,,,, they are intense,,but not scary.
  16. You should have no problem just starting out in 3rd and going.... I would advise you to use the lowest possible gear when pulling up a ramp... just less slippage that way, and you will be under the heaviest load at that time..... Yes, if it is a cargo van, designed from the factory to be such, they are built a little heavier, because they expect them to have heavier payloads.. so you should be fine.... Plus you have the added bonus of being able to open the back doors when you are backing into the water or to the boat to hook up.... I have seen those vans pull up to a construction site, 6 guys crawl out, there is two bathtubs on top, they pull about 500 linear feet of pipe out of the thing,, then all the tools...
  17. I laugh through most horror films... makes people around me mad.... They are so easy to predict.. 5 min. into Sixth Sense, in a theater mind you,, I said loud enough to almost everyone to hear,, "Bruce Willis is Dead". Almost got run out over that one... However, 1 film scarred the you know what out of me.... the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre....... still gives me the willies when I watch it....
  18. My dad was from Kentucky, my mom from Oregon, and I was raised in Montana, and Washington state,, and now I live in Georgia.... I have ONE SCREWED UP ACCENT! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D am I the only one who pronounces dog DAWG????? GAWD, I hope not! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ditto what riskkid said, with the added statement that I am some what of a smart @$$ so I may post more than I probably should, without sharing much insight.
  20. I commend you and the company you work for, for being involved with this project.... That is very cool.
  21. My thoughts exactly, I want my strongest arm, doing the heavy work, especially if you get a big fish on the other end..
  22. My dad is responsible for hooking me on fishing.... we went lake fishing for trout all the time growing up.... then my uncles got me hooked on drift fishing for salmon and steelhead....(learned that when fishing for winter steelhead, it gets darned cold, and after you break the ice out of your guides and reel back in,, you need to take a shot of blackberry brandy or peppermint schnapps..) ;D ;D After that, it became a natural progression and a learning curve to try for different species, different techniques, etc.....
  23. I bought a left handed retrieve Abu Baitcaster for river fishing for salmon... it just made sense for fighting bigger fish, to use my strongest arm to hang onto the pole with,, and I am ambidextrous so cranking with my left hand is no big issue either.... it just feels right to not change hands every time you cast out..
