  1. It's lake Nunya, located in the Wooly Swamp.
  2. LOL, who wants to catch an easy 3lb fish, especially the SAME one? Fish the first break and catch what you DONT see (trust me, you're missing out).
  3. If that were your only source of income, you'd probably have to fish for dinner.
  4. Very impressed. Great job guys and gals.
  5. I see I was not notified of the trip to Erie. Thanks.
  6. Thanks fellas. I can assure you that the girls in this lake love a good meal.
  7. In PA, you have to declare where it was caught for it to be recognized. There is already controversy around the current state record and where it was caught (can't be a private pond). If I was going all-out for a record, I wouldn't want there to be any doubt surrounding it. You also more than likely have to kill the fish to have it certified. That's a big obstacle for me. Again, that being said, I would post the fish along with VALID photos that leave no question as to the weight of the fish. I don't care that the state recognizes it or not. If accepted as valid by my peers while keeping my location protected, that's all I'd really care about.
  8. LOL, keep that stuff to yourself. They'll come out of the woodwork.
  9. Shhh, keep my secrets off the board please! And....it was 4"
  10. If you ask me, not nearly enough. If you ask the wife, entirely too much.
  11. I told a few of my buddies that I wanted to break 8 this year in PA and yesterday it happened for me. 8.64 (8-10) on the digi scale. Swimbaits don't work.
  12. My turn 8.64 (8-10) with a state record of 11.1875 (11-3) for a 77.22% fish. Get some!
  13. That's a scary sentiment given the events in this thread. Hopefully, those "cards" don't fall on someone and kill them.
  14. Totally different stressors on the rod in those two situations. Don't think about it like that. Apples to oranges.
  15. They're like Falcon Lake sized baby lobsters. Pretty crazy looking LOL
  16. LOL, that's a baby. Check out the Dead Horse Lonestar. You're welcome.
  17. 1.5 and 5 was my thought.
  18. A couple 17's and a motivated "DREAMER" will put your lake out there pretty quick.
  19. Psssh, give me a shout when they buy you a case of Mad Dog Banana Red. Pure class.
  20. If anyone knows the pain of catching a fish and thinking/wishing it were 8lbs, that would be me. Ive got a couple pics that I could probably pass off as DD fish, both were mid 7's.
  21. I'd say 7 is a good guess. It doesn't carry the "fat neck" that you see on DD fish. I'd love to tell you it's 10 but I just can't. Hell of a fish regardless.
  22. Prop and a little motor at that, so won't be fighting any strong currents.
  23. How fast does it sink? I haven't fished one. For a couple bucks more, I like the 316 Rising Son or one of the Osprey line thru's. Just a couple other options to think about.
  24. Think of a rock quarry. Kinda the same thing but really nutient rich water.
  25. If I were to launch my boat at Williamsport, how much area is there to fish around there? I can't really tell much from satellite maps. Obviously the power plant would be the furthest downstream. How far up the Conococheague can I go, if any? How far up the river past the launch?
