  1. He fishes phosphate pits. Would I fish them? Hell yeah. Do I blame him for filming a fishing show there? Nope. I don't believe he leads anyone to believe that he is on a public lake fishing alongside you and me. There is no doubt though that he could launch at a public lake and whoop up on 99% of the guys out there fishing I believe. Watch for the entertainment value, filter out the blatant product pushing and see it for what it is. A fishing show.
  2. Lose the rig you have there. Not saying it won't work but it's pretty visible. Take your top bait and tie a palomar knot, leaving a long tag end. You can then tie a weedless bait or jig on the bottom if you choose or go the more traditional route and use a drop shot weight.
  3. I hate seeing that question posed. It's like a challenge is issued to see who can outdo the next.
  4. If you can get down into Blood and launch, you'll catch fish. There is an area near the mouth on the main lake that we sat and caught easily over 50 fish, all three species. It also seemed like every point you pull up on in Blood (and there are a lot of them) had fish on it. Fish the point, move back into the cut and fish the junk in the back, repeat.
  5. If you're going to use something pre-rigged and on the lower end of the cost spectrum, I implore that you at least use a better constructed bait. The River2Sea Live Eye Bottom Walker would serve you better than any of the Storm baits. Period. I'm a big proponent of acquiring the best baits you can afford. You truly get what you pay for with regards to swimbaits.
  6. Hell, right outside of moore's is a great place to fish. If you can, head down to Blood River. We did well down there last time I fished.
  7. I just threw up a little.
  8. That didn't take long. Congrats.
  9. Dark Trout is a general favorite but I agree that color is the least important aspect of the Slammer.

  11. Here's another thread. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/114190-reel-magic-vs-kvd-lure-and-line/
  12. I dont suppose you happen to see any Deps 250 Slide Swimmers or Silent Killers floating around over there?
  13. That's rough man. I know you were tight. I'm sure there's plenty of brown 10's to keep him busy now.
  14. Ever wonder why your line is so limp after spraying it with Reel Magic? Reel Magic is a petroleum based product. It's because it strips the outermost layer from your line, making it limp. Eventually, as J said, you either get mush or you get a line that is dangerously brittle. I use the term "dangerously" because the baits I'm throwing ain't cheap nor are they light. One wrong move and an expensive bait is going flying, never to return. Line and Lure uses water to deliver its fomula onto the line. As the water evaporates, it leaves the actualy conditioner on the line. Petrol products and line is no bueno.
  15. Anyone know how Reel Magic works? If you do, you'll stop using it pretty quickly.
  16. Not this guy.
  17. I'd give you 6 on that fish all day. Nice catch.
  18. Way to get on them man. Good job.
  19. You're good Bill. No worries man. Hope you are doing well and catching some fish soon!
  20. Kinda looks like Chick Lake? Good times man!
  21. Raystown, between the two summer holidays and a little beyond, is absolutely atrocious. I dont really like the lake to begin with but when you factor these knuckleheads in it makes the decision to fish elsewhere fairly simple.
  22. Just keeping this fresh.... Caught a good one end of the day on 4/4/14, so juuuuuust a bit early. It's cool though, I'm lurking.
  23. 2-2.5 would be my guess. Good job getting on fish. You'll easily break your PB I believe. Keep it up.
