  1. Hey Russ, I like that idea. A group of my fishing buds and I are having a one day challenge this coming season and I'm going to suggest that format. Thanks for sharing. Rick
  2. Way to go Avid, glad to hear you're back in the game. Please don't do what I did a few years ago. I thought i was healed enough but wasn't, and I ended up missing more time fishing than if I would have waited a couple weeks more. I'd hate to hear you had to miss fishing at The Fork because you re-injured yourself. I sure wish I was going to be fishing down there with you guys, but my back says NO WAY. Good luck, Falcon
  3. You can't say enough about Ray Scott and what he has done over the years. The only negative thing he has done, was sell B.A.S.S. to ESPN. Falcon
  4. Kevin Van Dam has only used the BIOSONIX for one season. He has been sucessful for about ten years. Check this out: 2001, 2005 Classic Champ. 1992,1996, and 1999 Angler of the year. 56 Top ten finishes 99 top 20 finishes And that dosen't count what he won while fishing in the FLW. I DON'T THINK IT WAS THE "BIOSONIX". THE MAN CAN FLAT OUT FISH. Please don't short change my hero. LOL Just my humble opinion. Falcon
  5. Good to have you back. How was the hunting? Falcon
  6. Welcome Skillet, now you are an official member of the best fishing site on the net. Falcon
  7. If the writers use Glenn's idea, it would be a four hour movie LOL. Falcon
  8. Happy Birthday GMAN, You're just getting started. Falcon
  9. Welcome, Just to echo what's already been said, once you get settled here, you may forget about the other sites. I think you have found the best right here. Falcon
  10. Welcome Peter, if you are just starting to fish for bass, you have come to the right place. As Alpster stated, check the articles. There is a wealth of information on this site, plus many very good fishermen willing to share their knowlege. Good luck, Falcon
  11. Well I wish you 'Bama fans alot of luck. When good old NIck was at Michigan State, he said he would stay and he went to LSU. While at LSU he said he would stay and he went to Miami. He said he was going to stay at Miami and now he is going to 'Bama. I give him two years before he leaves for some other team. Good luck. Falcon
  12. JT, thanks for the very informative article. I've been wondering how that bait would be best utilized. Falcon
  13. Well, last year I predicted a 7+ smallie, and I had her on, and due to my being DUMB I lost her at the boat. I've been stuck on 6 lb-15oz for too long. I'm predicting (hoping) to break the 7# mark this year. I know they are out there, I just have to use my head when I have her hooked. Wish me luck, Falcon
  14. Welcome Fisherboy, you've come to the right place to hone your skills. There are many good fishermen here willing to share their knowlege. Falcon
  15. Looks like some real brutes!! Nice job. Falcon
  16. If I'm by myself, I will listen to the stereo on the boat. I will listen for weather upates as well as the music. Falcon
  17. We have had ALOT of rain here. Our water level is about one foot higher than our normal winter level. We are only a couple inches lower than our summer level. The icefishermen are going crazy without ice, but if they can find water access the perch are biting like crazy. My son and grandson came over yesterday and caught about fifty perch in my canal. I hope your fishing success continues. Falcon
  18. OK, how wierd is this? I read Rocknfish9001's post, so I thought I'd give it a go in my canal. I've never caught bass in January before but with this mild weather it was worth a try. I got my Rapala HJ06 in tennessee shad and started casting, using small jerks and long pauses i started catching bass. Nothing big but they are bass none-the-less. This is a major lift to my very low spirits. I had a major case of cabin fever and now I'm walking around with a little bounce in my step. Just thought I'd share. Falcon
  19. I saw the ""The BASS Pros", I really liked the part on shakey worms. That's one technique I was going to learn this coming season. I'll be watching that show every week, hopefully it will always be that informative. Falcon
  20. I've seen so many tv shows, and read so many articles about Lake El Salto and Lake Bacarac, I'd love to go down and spend a week to see if I could catch Big Mama. Falcon
  21. Kevin Van Dam has said Lake St. Clair is his favorite lake. I would like to spend a week with him just to see how he would fish my lake and compare and it to my strategy. Falcon
  22. For me it's shallow cranking. but I'm getting more confidence in spinnerbaits. Falcon
  23. I got one the other day, but like you I won't be able to try it out for a few months. Falcon
  24. I've been using them for a couple years. I got them at Gander Mountain on the clearance table for less than a buck. Their 7" worms are one of my favorites. Falcon

I got one when they first came out and I'm not impressed. I've tried short jerks, and steady retrieve. I've caught a few largemouth with it but it's not my favorite jerkbait. I think I'll stick with my pointers and x-raps. Falcon
