I use Columbia rain gear and Sperry shoes. I always wore Timberland with no problems, last spring West Marine had Sperry's on sale so I tried them. I would recommend either brand. Falcon

Hey Hoptoad, I used to live at 19 mile & Schoenherr until my wife and I bought our "dream home" on Lake St. Clair. The whole Shelby, Utica, Sterling Hts. area is very nice. The only reason we moved was to be on the water. My wife got tired of getting up at 4:30 in the morning to go fishing with me. Now she can sleep in a little. We can get together this spring and wreak havoc on the bay, stir up some bruiser smallies. Falcon

Looks like a Shad Rap with X-Rap tendencies. I gotta have some!!!! MY two most productive lures are the Shad Rap and X-Rap, so if they hybridized (if that's a word) the two, I have to at least try them. Falcon

The Detroit BPS does the reel trade in also. Falcon

My answer is NO. Here in Michigan, we have a closed season during the spawn. I think all states should. Just my opinion. Falcon

Nice fish. We only get perch through the ice here, with an occasional walleye. It would be nice to get some trout through the ice. Falcon

If you are looking for a reel in the $50-80 range, you need to get an Abu Garcia. A C3 5.3:1 25" per turn $74.95. C4 6.3:1 30" per turn $79.95 at BPS. If you buy one of these reels they will give you many years of problem-free service. I speak from experience, I have six of them and one of them is 24 years old and it goes out with me every day and works like new. Falcon

I use some berkley Powerbait worms with good success. I really have done well with the Frenzy divers. Late last season I picked up some Frenzy Flicker Shad lures and did pretty good. This season I hope to give them alot more work. Falcon
