  1. I like Terminator, Strike King, or Leverage. Most of mine are white or white and chartreuse. The only time I don't use a trailer hook is when I'm using a plastic trailer. All my blades are willow leaf because I fish in alot of weeds. Falcon
  2. Welcome michbass, What lakes do you live near. I know Waterford has alot in the surrounding area. Falcon
  3. Hi Blaine, Welcome. If you love bass fishing like we do, you'll fit in nicely Falcon
  4. I agree with Marty and Brad, the components seem better on the Boogee Bait. Last season I bought a Rad and two Boogee Baits and in a short time the hook was rusted on the Rad, but my Boogee Baits are like new. As Marty said, I haven't noticed any difference in strike ratio between the two. Falcon P.S. welcome to the best fishing site on the web.
  5. Logger, Sorry about your friend's misfortune, but glad nobody was hurt. Him and his family are in my prayers. Falcon
  6. You must be talking about my son-in-law.LOL Falcon
  7. Welcome Kyron4, Last August Gander Mountain had an introductory sale on the Flicker Shad. I'm a big fan of the Rapala Shad Raps, but I thought I would give them a try. I got the shad, blue tiger, hollywood, and chart. pearl. For the short period of time I fished them last season I was impressed. They ran true out of the box, and dive a little deeper than the Shad Raps. Most importantly, they caught smallies. BTW, I have the #7 size (3"). Falcon P.S. Hawgin's info is right on.
  8. Russ, Sam beat me to it but I'll say it again. "Good things happen to good people" Congrats, Rick
  9. Welcome fishingfourfun, I agree with Bass-Brat, anything by KVD. Whether it's book or video. Falcon
  10. Way to go Ben, you represented well. Falcon
  11. Excalibur Tx3's are very good hooks. I would leave them on. Falcon
  12. I just watched a "Lindner's angler's edge" show this morning about this subject. Al says he switches to cranks when the water temp is in the mid 50's. What Al says is gospel. Falcon
  13. All very good choices. Nice tackle. Falcon
  14. Welcome jbasslucky, look forward to your input. Do you fish rivers or lakes? Falcon
  15. "I mean who can't catch fish on live bait." Do you want me to tell you many times I get skunked using live bait?LOL I do enjoy the challenge of catching bass on artificial bait, but there are days when it is too painful to spend alot of time chucking and winding. (I've had six spine surgeries) so live bait is easier. I normally spend 75% of my time fishing artificial baits but on those days I can't, I don't hesitate to get some large golden shiners or spottails. CHEATING????? Falcon
  16. I wish Fish would get back with BASS. The stiff they have doing the weigh-ins now is boring. Falcon
  17. I fish with live bait and artificials. When I catch a big smallmouth on a large shiner, I don't get any less excited. I stated before, when my boat leaves my seawall, I'm going to catch fish. If it takes live bait to do it, so be it. Falcon
  18. Hey Catt, where did you get your Swimming Senkos? I was at BPS this weekend and they don't have them yet. Falcon
  19. I'm with Roadwarrior on this one. I would continue to fish for the smallies, they are much more fun to battle. Falcon
  20. I use Trilene XL for my crankbaits, and it's never failed me. It's very good line and it doesn't cost an arm and leg. Falcon
  21. It was terrible!!! They took a giant step backwards compared to last year. "D" and that's being generous. Falcon
  22. My wife fishes with me sometimes, but not enough. Just last night I asked her if she was going to fish more this season. I do love to see the excited look on her face when she is fighting a fish. Falcon
  23. What a beauty!! I'm jealous, there is snow on the ground and 15" of ice on the lake, and I can't get out to fish. Falcon
  24. Back in 1990 I took a job that kept me away from home Monday through Friday. The money was fantastic, but I was miserable being away from my wife and kids. After five months, I got a different job so I could be home every day. I give these guys and their families alot of credit for making it work, it's not easy. Falcon
  25. According to Trip, it wasn't just Howell's safety that was taken into consideration. The fans were there and camera boats. All he had to do was idle through for a short distance. It's really unfortunate because he would be in 12th place to start today. Falcon
