  1. I actually recomended a Medium Heavy Fast action, not a medium extra fast. If all you have to do is bomb your frog across the slop then I'm sure a heavy rod would be fine. But if you are going to work structure where you will need to cast accurately and walk that frog back to you, you'll probably be happier with a MH.
  2. Bumber Raul You're just going to have to buy some more stuff BTW, Monster Jacks are only $40 on Ichiban. Plus their shipping is generally much less to the states. Don't know what they charge to get it down your way. (Mexico right?)
  3. I'm sorry you are having such problems with the ones you got but I caught over twenty fish on a screwed up jig head before the spring broke. Perhaps you got a bad batch.
  4. I didn't see where it says baby largemouth. I haven't seen the baits in person yet but they look better than some of the other swimming tubes out there.
  5. That's some five weeks there! Way to go
  6. This is a good one for general topwaters AVC62MXF This is a good one for frogs AVC70MHF
  7. HJ-10 Tenn Shad 3" Salt & Pepper Kalins Grub on a jig head.
  8. I don't know what to tell you because the Revo Premier has an aluminum frame.
  9. Give yourself a little more credit there. You are contributing by asking questions. There are tons of people that read these posts that are wondering the same thing but just never get around to asking.
  10. I thought the same thing but I think they were just doing everything they could to make it as light as possible so the bearings had to go. I think a new 90mm Bassart carbon fiber handle would go great on that reel.
  11. Well technically Fluorocarbon is a MONOfilament. Just not a Nylon Monofilament. This is what I have been cranking with this year and I have been very impressed. Thin diameter, soft, and very abrasion resistant.
  12. I haven't fished the 7ft medium Avid but I have the 7 medium LT. As mentioned above it is a fine rod for cranking but it also makes a great rod for buzzbaits and burning compact spinner baits like the Screaming Eagle or the Tungsten Series Terminators. BTW, it looks like you have a great line up of avids there.
  13. You're sure living up to your name there Hawg Caller
  14. Truely impressive!!!!! Congrats!

That's too bad. Normally its the other way around, people vomit after going on the rides, not before
  16. The one RW suggested is exactly what I use for fishing a shakey head. I personally feel more comfortable fishing a shakey head on casting gear.
  17. I agree 100% It looks like a big reel but it palms very well, casts great, and has all the power you could ever want.
  18. From what I hear, if you need to warranty your reel, it better be a US reel or you are S.O.L. But I could be wrong.
  19. Hey Robert, looks like our girls have something in common
  20. Bass-a-thon... but close enough I met him there last year. He was taking Denny B. around the tables and showing him all of the swimbaits. Very cool guy!
  21. I have met a number of big names in the bass fishing world and I would have to say with out a doubt that Jimmy Houston is the nicest and most down to earth of the bunch.

    Nice T-rig!
  23. Very nice!!!! Thanks for sharing
  24. Well put RW. I lean toward the St. Croix side a bit but I am now the owner of a Jig and Worm series GLX. My girlfriend, who I bought it for, liked the Legend Elite more so I keep the GLX and got her a LE. But back to your question. I have never tried a G blank rod but I do know a guy who sold all of his GL2's and GL3's and replaced them with G blanks. I have also never tried a Cumara so I can't say much about that. What I do know is that the St. Croix LT is a great great rod. I have three. Two casting (7ft M & 6'9" ML) and one spinning (6'8" M). All three are light, sensitive, and extremely versatile rods. You won't regret buying one.
