  1. That's just huge!
  2. That has to be the smallest damsel fly I have ever seen. Very cool pic. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Great Fish! I am pretty sure his fish are all sea run stripers.
  4. Goal: 12lbs Prediction: 9lbs 4oz
  5. That's too cool. 8-) Doesn't that have to do with the size of the airbladder?
  6. This would be great if I needed a salmon stick.
  7. I'm like lucky craft man, I couldn't tell you how many times I thought that my line up was complete. I always think that I have my "dream team" but every year there is a whole new wave of fresh talent and I always end drafting a rookie or two.
  8. Can't beat the kind of action you can get from unpressured waters. Way to go!
  9. I know that feeling all too well homeboy
  10. Really? I strongly disagree with that. Some of my bigest topwater fish have come from shaking my rod tip so that my topwater just barely wiggles and sends out ripples in the water.
  11. Good to know, I'll have to try one out again.
  12. Dude, when you are holding a fish like that it doesn't matter what your face looks like. You could look like Ronnie James Dio and it would still be a great pic Way to go.
  13. Have they improved those at all? I like the fact that you can practically make it walk in place but the three I've had all took on water really bad.
  14. I had the same problem with HJ-10 Husky Jerks. RW-That site is great! Thanks for posting it. Looks like I have a new source for worm hooks!
  15. Pretty much. If you look at the regular snag proof frog, the legs have thighs that stick out. Bobby Barrack trimmed these off and as a result, the bait has less resistence in the back and it walks better. Another thing is that the Bobby frog has a Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG frog hook where as the tournament frog has the Owner frog hook.
  16. Both hooks on the G-Splash are the same size. When I needle a fish, I picture a line between the anus and the spot where the dorsal fin goes from soft to spiny rays. Then I go down about four or five scales from the lateral line and stick the needle under a scale at an angle. I then stick the fish with the needle in it under water and let the bubbles come out. This is really cool to do to crappie when you catch them out of 30ft+ of water because they come to the surface all spread out and stiff like they are dead but once you get that air out they spring back to life.
  17. I believe they have a size four. You can get original LC hooks at tackle warehouse. They also have dressed owner hooks on sale for $1.25 a pack. They are great hooks. My personal favorite is the 100. I have an 85 and don't care for it at all. They are great to have for heavy duty split rings but I use my thumb nail for the most part. I have a Rapala 50lb digital that works pretty well but if you can afford it, the X-tools scale with the culling feature is awesome. I slide it under the gill I use a needle and go through the midsection. Hope this helps.
  18. I have had the best hook up ratio with the Snag Proof "Bobby's Perfect Frog" The Bronze Eye comes in at a close second.
  19. That is a straight out toad sticker right there Raul. I am suprised you don't have one yet.
  20. Here you go Russ *Hug* I got a St. Croix LS shirt, some Keni fingerless gloves, BPS gift card, LC slender pointer, 2008 license, but most importantly my girlfriend got me a new pack of socks!
  21. Nice!! ;D ;D ;D I take it that was one of the poisioned Pike from Davis, but instead of dying, it mutated, grew legs, and walked on over to the Delta.
  22. That is the only thing holding me back. I have been wanting one for about three years now but I have yet to see one in person. I would love to be able to buy a US made reel but I can't drop $250 on something I haven't held in my hand.

My Mom got those for me a few years ago. The minnow looks pretty darn cool on top. Didn't care much for the frog. But to be honest I haven't really fished them. Just took them out during January to check out the action. I'll have to try them again this spring. They do have sharp hooks on em.
  24. Sounds good! Hope you enjoy it.
  25. Yeah I know there is going to be a vote for the Zillion, I'm just waiting for him to post it. I wouldn't consider myself a Daiwa boy but I do own some. From my experience with Daiwa's and from what I have heard, the Zillion would be the way to go. Besides, it's the only one with the real high speed you are looking for. As far as palming it, it sits a little lower than your TD-X's but not as low as your Alpha. If it turns out that it is not low enough, I would suggest trying out a Revo SX or STX. Very low profile, casts a mile, and even the 7 to 1 has a ton of power. But then again, you asked about Daiwa. :-/
