Who on BR would you like to fish with?
The list is almost too long. George Welcome (I read his book) Catt (Cajun to the bone. My kinda guy) Fishfordollars (A possible mentor. I've talked to him on the phone once, and already really like the guy) Matt Fly (Because I didn't get to know him very well at Fork last March and he is very knowledgeable) Avid (Night fishing only. I wouldn't want to be seen in public with him) Muddy - again (I taught him how to use a trolling motor after his spectacular debut) Burley (I want to find out if he is really that weird) Hookemdown (Because everyone says to take a kid fishing. Because he has a great sense of humor. Because he's not intimidated by us old folks.)

PEASENTS! IF YOU SEE ME IN MY WAR HELMENT YOU ARE TO BOW DOWN! TO DO LESS MEANS CERTAIN DEATH, or, at the very least, scathing ridicule from my wife!

Skiatook Lake
Not yet, but I will be. I fish Skiatook every chance I get, but bought my boat late last summer, so haven't had the opportunity to fish it during the prime months. I suggest you go to www.oklahomabassfishing.com and post your question there.

Anyone Use the Fishing Hot Spots Maps?
Burley, you are correct that I have the H2O. I have also recently up-graded to the Lowrance LMS-522. I have the FHS map cards for both the South and Southeast regions. I would have preferred to buy the Navionics card that you are referring to, but it isn't compatible with my MapCreate software. I may still buy it anyway. My fishing partner and I both have the 522s on our boats and he has the Navionics card. We'll be doing some testing to find out which one is better. Catt and Fishfordollars. I am aware that the maps and cards should be used for reference only. I found that out the hard way while trying to work my way into Dale Creek on Fork last March. :-[

Anyone Use the Fishing Hot Spots Maps?
I have the FHS maps for about a half dozen major lakes in the South and Southeast. I have found that they are fairly accurate with their contour lines, but when it comes to underwater man-made structure, (roadbeds, etc.) their mapping efforts are half-azzed at best. Has anyone else noticed this?

What did you do today?
I had a vasectomy about 9:00 A.M. back in 1970. That evening I went to a wedding reception wearing a VERY tight jock. Pun intended, I had a ball. Danced and drank the night away. Went home, passed out. Woke up the next morning feeling just great, with the exception that while I was asleep, a Mack truck ran over my gonads.

Avid's Clique
On an earlier thread Jasone mentioned that Avid's Clique ruined one of his posts. I have never heard of Avid's Clique but I suspect Jasone was referring to one or more of a number of folks who like to poke a little fun at themselves and others without causing undue insult. Because there may be others who feel that there is indeed a Clique, I would like to formally bring to life - Avid's Clique. Proposed Founding Cliquers: Avid, Muddy, Burley, Hookemdown, Long Mike, and others as nominated by the above-mentioned founders. Proposed Eligibility Requirements: 1. A warped sense of humor. 2. Ability to take it as well as you dish it out. 3. Ability to detect the humor expressed in nuance and innuendo. 4. Ability to turn the other cheek when one of the Mods gets his knickers in a twist and deletes your post for some obscure reason known only to him. Speaking on behalf or the above proposed founders, all BR members meeting the requirements are eligible.

Does Elaine know anything about your intentions? If not, I promise not to tell anyone. :-X

Bush helping us feed the baitmonkey???
Jasone, how could this thread be ruined? It's just a bunch of guys chatting about a possible windfall. This may come as a surprise to you, but this is a public forum. Within acceptable limits, any member is allowed to post on any of the forums on this site. and they don't have to be a member of a Clique to do so. I'm very sorry that someone ruined one of your earlier threads. You must have had something very important to share. But I'm getting off topic. I'm going to use my windfall to replace the tires on my boat trailer.

Ghoti, Flukemaster and I are sharing a guide on Monday also. His name is Jeff. Our guide is a lot better than your guide. Not only that, our guide's mother can beat up your guide's mother. ;D

any puter geeks out there?
Well, I'm no computer geek by any means, but if your disk is blank, what would you expect the computer to read from the disk? :-/

What is your ethnic background?
Steve P. Great story, but you are so full of crap that your eyes are brown. Avid has been a very poor influence on you. GET AWAY FROM HIM!

Tally So Far on Giveaways
Muddy is right - and wrong. I used to very much enjoy a drink or five of Jack Daniel's Old No. 7. However, my liver is now thirty years older than the rest of me, so I have reluctantly become a wino. I buy my wine in the cardboard boxes, but I miss my Jack so much that I always pour my wine into one of the old JD bottles before I drink it.
