  1. Muddy, I said LIVE snakes. My snake died a long time ago. :'(
  2. Muddy,NOW you tell me! Sheesh! This afternoon I went out and spent seven bucks on a mailing tube for the rod. I'll carry the rod and reel to G'ville with me, but I'm going to fill the mailing tube with live snakes and send it to you.
  3. A flat-bottomed, rectangular shaped, 2' by 4' boat. That's an accident waiting to happen. Even if you plan on using it in only in your swimming pool, make sure you always wear a life vest. You're going to need it.

Hey Jack, I PM'd you earlier this evening to check on you. Sorry it's not going so well. I'll keep in touch.
  5. A four foot 'gator. I cut the line before I got him to the boat.
  6. Glenn, I'm driving from Tulsa. I'll be hitting Birmingham about the time you get there. I'll be more than happy to pick you and Keri up. Also, your departure date and time fit neatly within my time frame, so I'll be happy to drop you off at the airport on the way out. But ... it's gonna cost you. To be precise, one (1) BassResource.com T-Shirt, size XL and one (1) BassResource.com cap.

I'm glad that Burley and Doug discussed Exxon's profit margin. A lot of people just look at the amount of profit and forget how small the profit margin really was. For those who don't know what we are talking about, Total Sales, minus Total Costs, equals Profit Margin. This means that Exxon SPENT about $309.7 Billion (that's a LOT of jobs they created) to make their profit. As a publically traded company, Exxon has an obligation to its shareholders (and its employees) to maximize its profit. Exxon's profit margin is in line with other well-run businesses.
  8. When in doubt, RTFM. That is, Read the Friggin Manual. Also, go to www.lowrance.com and read their sonor tutorial. It applies for all sonars.
  9. Selective editing or not, Americans are probably the most geographically ignorant people in any of the developed countries. For example, without cheating, how many of you can look at an unlabeled map of the world and place a push-pin into the location of each of the following countries: Madagascar Sri Lanka New Zealand Sweden Kenya Singapore Belgium Costa Rica Ecuador Portugal Peru Trinidad Burkina Faso
  10. Funny!
  11. Standing up. I'm 6'3" tall. Lying down, I'm 6'3" Long. Hence, Long Mike.
  12. Avid, forgive me for stating the obvious, but don't forget to allow for the length of the motor when trying to fit the boat and trailer in your garage. Also, since you are wealthy, you may want to look at renting a space to store the boat. ;D
  13. Would or have done? Have done. Where do you think this story originated from? I have no recollection of that event.
  14. I know Avid's hole name. It's Anus.
  15. Jig Man. You must have a very large boat if it has a head, i.e. a bathroom. ;D ;D
  16. Bubbler, I suggest that you allow your Dad to make the decision. After all, he's the one that will be writing the check.
  17. Where would you like for me to start? While working in the oil industry I lived all over the world. I've visited over thirty countries throughout Europe, West Africa. the Middle East and Asia. You can blindfold me, fly me to any of the above mentioned areas at random, and I, still blindfolded, could tell you what part of the world that I am in. Something you never experience on National Geographic is the smell or the humidity. The smell of an arid country is much different that the smell of a humid country. Phew! You know you are in a third world country because it, literally, stinks.

"The Stripper" from the movie Gypsy. As a younger man I had the hots for Natalie Wood.
  19. There was no time set as to what time we were to be off the lake. But dinner was served at 7:00 if memory serves.
  20. Welcome to the best bass fishing forum on the net. Lots of nice people here, and more information than you could ever learn anywhere else.
  21. It's interesting to note that it seems that Lowrance is no longer touting the FHS cards, despite the fact that their computer-based MAPCreate software will read ONLY the FHS cards. It appears that Lowrance has taken an about face and is supporting the Navionics cards almost exclusively. As a case in point, I received my new BPS catalog the other day. There is a section for the FHS paper maps, but when you get to the boat electronics section, FHS is not mentioned at all. If you are an inland lakes fisherman, you can get the Navionics card, or you can use the lake maps that come packaged with your new Lowrance GPS-based unit. I hope someone proves me wrong.
  22. He lost his meds. They kept him from exhibiting his multiple personalities. The one that scares me the most is Hack-Saw. When in that personality he'll cut anything or anyone, regardless of how ugly he or she may be.
  23. Nah Burley. The place was never the same after the Blues Brothers left.
  24. I'm 61. If had a change to go for a ride in a fighter and was told that I would probably have a heart attack if I did, I would do it anyway.
  25. I like both kinds. Country AND Western.
