  3. Although I couldn't find license info on the Roadtrip site, I simply Googled "Alabama Fishing License." Fifteen minutes later my new license was printed out and in my hands. Piece of cake.
  4. I've been trying to PM him for the last several days, but have received no response. :-/
  5. Terrific idea! I'm for it 100%! But if I have to show it, everyone has to promise not to tell. :-[
  6. Jake if your job is OK but it is not what you want to be doing ten years from now, then you you should be asking yourself several tough questions. 1. What do I want to be doing five, ten or even twenty years from now? 2. What do I need to do to get there? 3. Am I willing to do what is needed to get there? The first two questions are easy questions to ask of yourself. The third requires a decision and a commitment that very few choose to answer with the word "Yes." It's all up to you.
  7. Well, being of ripe old age, I've thought about that a lot. Neither of my brothers are fishermen. My kids don't fish, nor does any other member of my extended family. So ... All of my rods, reels and tackle will be donated to Muddy. My Tracker will be sold at Market value, which is a hell-of-a-lot less than it's worth. I've discussed this with my wife and it's a done deal. Muddy, don't get your hopes up. First of all, I plan on living MUCH longer than you. Secondly, you will not inherit enough stuff from me to even think about opening you own bait shop. ;D ;D ;D
  8. All of the lakes in N.E Oklahoma are ice free, but the water temps are in the low 40's and the bite is tough.
  9. Your computer may be fried, but there is a very good chance that your hard drive is still intact. Take your computer to a pro. There's a very good possibility that all of your data can be recovered.
  10. Thanks for the complement fourbizz, you even have a picture of me wearing my "Avid" glasses. ;D ;D ;D Fourbizz, I did a second take on the honey in the skirt and realized that you had actually pasted my mug in the photo. Very nice work done very quickly. Remind me never to speak to you again.
  11. You are correct, Oh ignorant diaper wearer. This old Depends wearer has spent a lot of time looking at plaid skirts in the part of the world where kilts are worn. Now, since I am a confirmed heterosexual, why do you think I would do a thing like that?
  12. Correct on the kilt. Now, what's the plaid pattern called?
  13. Plaid? Did someone say plaid? I very much enjoy wearing my plaid skirt from time to time along with its sporran. Let's see how long it will take you young'uns to tell me the what the plaid skirt is really called. No fair looking it up on the net or in a book.
  14. Ax murderers don't drive white vans, they drive white Suburbans. Hey, wait a sec, I drive a white Suburban. Please disregard this post.
  15. I never fish T-Rigged worms with my fly unzipped. ;D ;D ;D
  16. Hawgin, just settle down and take your meds. You're always welcome here. :
  17. Hawgin, if you hung out around here more than you apparently do, you would have realized that the entire thread is all in good fun. Your comments were therfore made from a point of gross ignorance, and honestly in very poor taste.
  18. Well, er, Burley, this is just a friendly competition. I was just trying to clarify the rules. As you well know, once the rules are established, bass fishermen never cheat or lie.
  19. Great to have the rules clarified. My avatar qualifies as an Avid look-alike, although I am so much better looking. I'm live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I will be fishing Caney Creek Reservoir in Louisiana the first weekend in March; Lake Fork, Texas the second weekend: Guntersville. Alabama the third weekend: and Grand Lake, Oklahoma the first weekend in April. So, if I catch a LM in Texas, can I compare it against the Oklahoma state record?
  20. Best I can remember, there is/was only one old guy on this board who couldn't run a trolling motor ... and I taught Muddy how to use it before we left Lake Fork. The last I heard, Muddy is now manufacturing 300 hp trolling motors and is giving lessons on how to best operate them. Of course, one must be over the age of twenty-one to purchase or operate one of his "DOMINickATORS." Trust me, old guys hardly ever lie. 8-)
  21. Is this a "who can post the lamest post" contest? ;D
  22. Be patient. I'm sure at least one of the mods will finally sober up enough to respond to your request.
  23. Nuclear, we need to start talking one on one. PM will be sent shortly.
  24. Nuclear, why on earth are you tearing my boat apart? I just got that thing set up the way I wanted it! ;D Honestly, that boat of yours is a twin to mine, but mine was in much better shape when I bought it. My decks were in good shape so there was no need to replace them. That's why it's great to see your photos with the decks removed. Sometime this year I want to extend the front deck back to the console and install a rod locker in the center. Basedf on your photos, it looks like it's feasible. What's your opinion?
