Say it ain't so........................
Let's just say that Avid and the "Management" agreed to disagree and leave it at that. I'll miss him, but it was Avid's decision to depart.

A sad day...
Sorry, Burley I never did like that guy, but I regret his passing.

Do you start your boat out of water
For the second time this evening, I completely agree with Way2slow. Don't even think about starting your motor without water going into it. It only takes a couple of seconds to damage the motor.

on board charger
Fishingbuds, first of all, if you have an XPS charger, be prepared to replace it the day after your warranty expires. There have been many bad reviews about the XPS chargers on the BPS website. Secondly, mount the unit in the most convenient location. BPS has to cover their butts from a liability stand point, so has to throw in all those "Don't do this" comments. I agree with Way2slow that you should mount your AC plug-in outside of the battery/fuel tank compartment.

Meatballs for BR Road Trip
LBH, I'm going to double the amount of garlic bread. After all, if most of the meatballs disappear along the route, then, if nothing else, a bunch of hungry fishermen can dip their bread in the meat sauce. ;D

Transducer & GPS antenna locations?
Sorry Skippinfool, I read your question too hurriedly to answer it properly. Your unit has an external antenna. I have seen several boats with the antenna mounted directly behind and to the right of the drivers cockpit. My unit has an internal antenna, so I'm really not qualified to answer the question. Also, I have an aluminum Tracker, so I had no other option but to mount the transducer on the outside of the stern. I don't know the water you fish, but a lot of my water consists of stick-ups (timber) and creek channels. Having the GPS at the console is a necessity for me to navigate the channels.

Fishingbuds, I'm not sure I understand the point of your question. Can you please explain your particular problem?

Transducer & GPS antenna locations?
I have the 522. Believe me, once you install it, you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

BPS Catalog Overload
That's why Academy's prices are so much cheaper. They don't spend the money to vomit catalogs. Inserts in the Sunday paper? Yes.

CABELAS vs BPS Catalogs
Sorry, I don't have enough idle time on my hands to compare the two. Besides, my new Penthouse catalog arrived today. Now that is some delicious looking bait!

3rd grade test
The U.K. used to use our system of weights and measures. After all, where do you think we got it from? I don't remember the dates and timing, but one day the government said to the public "On (say) January 1, 1980, the U.K. will convert to the metric system. Get ready for it. You have twenty years of warning." So the U.K. spent only twenty years to convert to a fully decimal system. If they can do it, why can't the great U.S. of A.?

How much of the max H.P. do you need?
Well, I guess it all depends on how fast you want to go and how much money you are willing to spend to get there. I have a 17' Tracker with a 60 hp on it. It' will run about 40 mph. That's as fast as I want or need to go, so I'm not willing to spend any money to make it go faster. The choice is up to you.

Strut! Boast! I got'em all correct. Of course, I lived overseas for ten years, so have become somewhat adept at Metric vs archaic US conversions. 8-)

Two other MOOKS IN A BOAT
Muddy was on the road when he called me about this last night. I haven't laughed so hard in years. Muddy was also laughing so hard that I'm surprised he didn't cause a traffic accident.

3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I know I'm being a little premature, (my wife tells me that a lot) but if we are going to have evening get-togethers, where will they be held? Also, if we are going to have meals prepared by the members where will the food preparation take place? Also, what, if any, are the rules and regulations for the use of the facilities? e.g. Is BYOB acceptable? Smoking? Topless dancers?

Re: State Vs State Final rules and current list of entries--AVID
Avid asked me to take no action, so, in respect of his wishes, I will not. My one and only protest is that I refuse to participate in the competion in which his likeness plays an important part. *Edited by LBH

M$ warns on Vista update
Well, that just goes to prove that Vista is the worst piece of crap that Microsoft has ever introduced, and they have introduced a LOT of crap of late. It's too bad that Bill Gates is so far out of the loop that he has no idea what his company is doing anymore.

Revision to original post. My age: A=(x^n)-3. Where: A=My Age, x=2, and n=6. Just checking to see if any of you Huggies boys can handle basic algebra. ;D ;D ;D
