Cool watches.
Rolex, Piaget, Omega, et al. Top of the line and top of the price range. I wore an Omega "certified chronometer" for twenty-five years, and then the old gal died. Couldn't find anyone to repair it, least of all Omega. I've since been wearing a battery powered Seiko, which is a helluva lot more accurate than my "Certified Chronometer" ever was. That said, I love the photo of the Welder that you posted. That watch is a real eye catcher.

My Solemn Oath
Gentlemen, I am very pleasantly surprised that my original post started such a lively, and, in my opinion, fruitful debate. I don't mind being called to task for my spelling errors. After all, it was my mistake. I'm a firm believer in the old adage "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Thanks to all for very valuable and informative input. I hope this thread is read many times by those who may want to correct/improve their written communication skills.

How Yall Are?
Glad the wife is OK. As for the back, it sounds like you have a herniated disc. I had one several years ago. It took me months and months to get completely over it.

shallow water and using depth finder ?
I agree with Catt. The 525 offers a lot of bang for the buck.

Handheld GPS with Topo maps for fishing?
I went to the Fishing Hot Spots web site. www.fishinghotspots.com. There are paper maps available for nine Arkansas lakes. The FHS chip for the Lowrance GPS unit contains topo information on forty-four Arkansas lakes.

Keep in Mind...
On the same note, when I go fishing, I tell my wife what lake I will be fishing, what boat launch I will be using and what time I expect to be off the water. If anything changes I call her on my cell if possible. I ALWAYS call her as soon as I get off the water. It takes a bit of worry off her mind, and gives her a chance to get rid on any strange man who may be " visiting." ;D ;D

My Solemn Oath
Geez, Fourbizzle, please accept my deepest apologies for my lapse. I mispelled a word and did not use my spell checker! I AM SO EMBARRASSED THAT I COULD JUST PUKE. I AM GOING TO STEP OUTSIDE AND HAVE MY DOG GIVE ME FORTY LASHES WITH A WET TONGUE. Does that make you feel any better? If not, how about this? I WAS WRONG! I MADE A MISTAKE! I AM FALLIBLE!

Guntersville boating?
Jeremy, just Google "Alabama boating laws." You will find that the fresh water boating laws are pretty much the same as everywhere alse. Common sense stuff.

Sure Jack, advertise away. JeremyT and I will both have our boats with us. I have a spare back seat also.

My Solemn Oath
You folks who caught my spelling errors are absolutely right. That said, anyone who follows my occasional tirades knows that I have never posted any negative comment for an occasional spelling error. Typos happen all the time. Often, spell checkers don't catch them. For example: " Deer Sir, I have herd that you recently sold your heard of dear."

My Solemn Oath
Never again will I publically chastise any individual who chooses to post on this site who, through ignorance, laziness or stupidity, butchers our beautiful English American language. All who frequent this site know that this is the one thing that really raises my hackles. Henceforth, I shall remain silent regarding the atrocities I witness - with one exception. It has to do with the shorthand of text messaging. Teeners have their own board on this site. If you want to type in "teener" language, please to it on your board. The rest of us who frequent this site are adults and we have tried very hard to properly learn the art of spelling, capitalization and punctuation. Please give us a break. If you want to post here, try to do it as an adult.

LET'S HEAR THOSE BAIT MONKEY STORIES
Robert, that's even better than the Joke about the kid selling $100,000 worth of fishing gear to a guy who wanted to buy tampons. If you haven't seen the joke, go to Everything Else.

Bass resource fishing articles
Robby, anytime you visit this web-site you must keep your movements to a minimum. If you move suddenly, BassResource.com flinches, as if thinking it is under attack, immediately throws up its defenses and refreshes. It may be irritating for some, but I find it, well, refreshing.

3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Hey Mike, Try to be patient for a few more days. I have a couple of bloodhounds working with me to dig up as many details as we can find. STAY TUNED! Ronnie OK, Ronnie, I've been patient for about three weeks now, waiting on information that you said would take "a few more days." My friend, as I told Russ in a PM several weeks ago, I'm semi-retired and have quite of bit of time on my hands, so I'm more than willing to do some bloodhound work for you and the others. Just name the task, and it will be done. Cost is no object for me. I'm willing to spend what ever it takes up to $25 to make sure the job gets done. ;D
