Does cheese improve the effectiveness of a flu shot?

I got my shot today. I was fine until a couple of hours ago, and then I started to feel woozy. The wife said it's the wine. Could be.

A sliding mount? Is that a new Minn Kota product? BTW, I agree that the video was awful in most respects. Rather than use the foot pedal, I use the hand-held remote. The directional response is instantaneous, as is the speed. I fish a lot of lakes with submerged timber and have never had a problem navigating through it. The Terrova with the iPilot is the best investment I have ever made. I will NEVER go back to cable-steer. As I said earlier, cable-steer will become a relic in the not too distant future.

And don't forget about the wife. She wants a bigger one also.

I hate pain meds. They don't kill the pain, but you are so fd-up you just don't care if it hurts. I get off of them as soon as I can and take Ibuprofen instead.

Wayne, I think the 2D transducer in the photo is a transom mount. You can see the mounting bracket in front of it. It looks exactly like the Lowrance 'ducer mounted on the transom of my aluminum boat. Further, do you agree that, provided that the transom-mount 'ducer is mounted in a low turbulence area of the hull, that on-plane depth readings will be obtained? My boat will travel at up to 60 mph and I have never had a problem with depth readings.

I use the Amex card for every purchase over $20. I carry other cards, but use them only when Amex is not accepted. That said, I usually carry about $200 of cash, just in case.

I've been doing a lot of research lately on waterproof, breathable rain gear. I've discovered that there are at least five or six companies that are marketing rain suits with new technologies that are equally as good as Gore-Tex, at a much more reasonable price. If any of you guys have waterproof, breathable rain suits that are not made of Gore-Tex, I would love to have your opinions.

I would suggest the Pfleuger President. Great reel at a reasonable price.

By far, the best device I have found for cutting limp braid is The Snip. It cuts braid like the proverbial knife through hot butter. I learned about it on this site. Some of the best advice I have ever received. http://www.boomerangtool.com/shop/the-snip-basic/

I don't know. All of my reels but one have braid on them, which has lasted for years. Of those reels, all but one have BPS flouro leaders, which are initially about six feet long. I re-tie as necessary, until the leader is about 18" long, then the line gets a new leader.

A ten foot alligator lunging after my partners lure while he was retrieving it. We both thought that gator was coming into the boat. Scared the shilt out of us.

I tow my boat on trips lasting four hours or more at least a half dozen times a year. If I have to stay overnight while traveling, I don't worry about electrical hook-ups. The batteries will not discharge in one night. My destinations are obviously near a lake so most all hotels and resorts are boater friendly and offer, or at least tolerate, hook-ups. Just make sure that you have at least 100' of power cord with you. On these trips I carry 200.' Make sure your wheel bearings are well greased and your tires, including the spare, are properly inflated. On my trailer, that's 50 psi. I don't remove my rods or other gear if staying over night, but lock my hatches. I NEVER leave my electronics on the boat at night. Oh, and I carry insurance that includes coverage for theft and vandalism.

Personally, I wouldn't touch that boat. It looks as if it's been setting on the ground uncovered, for years. Why isn't it on its trailer? As said above, I believe that every piece of wood and carpet in the boat is rotten, including the transom. Since the boat is setting on the ground, it has very probably been invaded by critters who enjoy gnawing on cabling and wiring. Throttle and shift calling are probably seized up. As for the motor, it's anybody's guess. If the motor was prepared for long term storage it may be OK. If it wasn't, then the motor may be frozen up The carbs would have to be rebuilt at the very least. IMHO that boat isn't worth the money you would spend for gasoline to go pick it up. With the money it would cost you to restore it, you could find a much nicer boat in much better condition closer to home.

A successful marriage is a two way street. If you share the same income, there should be no secrets from each other when it comes to spending the family's money. On the other hand, if having ensured that the needs of the family are taken care of, there is no reason why you or she shouldn't exercise a little discretionary spending. But, never keep it a secret from your spouse. I never ask for permission to buy something, but I always tell her what I bought, and how much I spent. That formula seems to work for my bride and me. We've been married for forty-three years.
