Never Fished w/ a Guide
I kind of agree with you on the tip thing. I have never understood it. Now before everyone gets crazy, to this point, I have always had decent guides and always tipped. However, in researching guides, many of their websites make a tip appear to be almost part of the deal. The first saltwater guide I ever fished with had an app on his phone to run my credit card since he preferred credit cards over cash. Thought it was odd to enjoy paying fees, but when he handed me the app, I found out why. He had run it all the way to the screen that asked for me to fill in the percentage of my tip. The choices started at 15% although there was small lettering at the bottom that said decline. It's a business. Adjust your prices accordingly and be gracious and humble when it comes to tips.

The latest sale thread
TW has a great selection of gear, but have you guys who are waiting around already shopped at some of the other locations mentioned? I'm all jiggled up (at least until spring) thanks to Sieberts sale. The other site mentioned above took $100 from me, and Monster tackle will be sending some Pitbull braid cutters and a few other things my way. I even got some line on EBay at way less then 20% off.

Advice on selecting new spinning rod
Love the Mojo.
-
What rod to pair with my new reel???
I don't throw any of those on the same rod. Occasionally A med fast is a decent all around rod, but you will be making a lot of compromises trying to make it work for every one of those baits.

Daiwa Vs. Shimano
I fish Shimano spinning reels and have forever. I've spent a lot of time with Shimano casting reels but just don't like the feel of them. This might be due to my use of mainly Lews reels which feel nothing in my hand like the Shimano. I have a couple of Tatula Rs and really like them quite a bit.

What other rods/reels should I get
What presentations are you trying to toss out there that you can't with your current stock of rods?

Kayak Anchor Trolley, Which Side?
I will start scoping it out. There are a few places, but I would love to have a lot more.

I'm right across the river from you. Once Nessie gets over here, I'll ride over on her back.

Are F-150s Good Trucks?
The spark plug issue on the Fords is pretty much isolated to the 5.4. Tons and tons of info on the internet about it. As for rust, I feel your pain. I have a '99 Tahoe with 240k on it and no rust. Very common to find these SUVs that are rust free. Find me a '99 Ford, Chevy, or GMC pickup in my area with no rust on it and I'll put my unicorn in the bed.

Daiwa tatula reels
I have a couple of the older model Type Rs. Too me, they cast just as good as my Lews reels, except for my BB1. Nothing beats a BB1. Size is no problem for me, but I wear at least an XXL glove. I am looking at some higher end Daiwa models, but having a tough time justifying the purchase since the Tatulas are so nice. And if you shop, like others have said, you can get some bargains

Do mullet affect bass fishing?
I've been to Miami a couple times, but as far as fishing is concerned, Toho is as far south as I have gone. I will be back in Orlando in early February and have a couple days booked on Toho and I'll be hitting some local lakes. When I plan the next trip, what's a good time of the year to take that snook/bass challenge? I'd love to get in on some peacock bass too. I just love Florida.

Kayak Anchor Trolley, Which Side?
Hey Ads, where in the area do you plan on using the kayak? I will be buying one here in the next month or so, but there seems to be an awful lot of restricted water in our area.

Do mullet affect bass fishing?
I am just intrigued by a place where you can catch bass and snook at the same time. I am assuming I have not made it far enough south in Florida yet, but it sounds like heaven.

Pressured ponds
Chances are, someone catches a lot of fish there, and someone else asked them what they catch them on. They then shared that bait with everyone else. In the end, 80% of the people are throwing pretty much the same thing at the fish. Try throwing something completely different and see where it gets you.
