fished saturday all day! skunked! my buddy caught a 3lbser and missed a good fish, i had a few pickerel hit. sunday got a late start, caught a couple of dinks.

what about in ponds. its crazy! i fish ponds in winter and you'll think they are all dead cuz the fishin is horrible

i just spooled up with 20lbs trilene big game. ive used 20lbs seguar floro before, also braid! so it depends on prefrence to be honest! each has their pros and cons

My only fish! 6.3lbs So the story behind the fish Today! Saw it sitting pitched a 4 inch storm Shad to it! Bam nails it! Couldn't get around some brush so I had to walk through a thorn bush into the water to land it! It spits the hook at my feet! I dive in a grab it!

trip from hell yesterday barely fished. so work was busy and my boss was being a $#@%^ (fill in the blank). so all i wanted to do was go down drink some beers relax and hopefully catch some fish. so i get down to the spot down some dirt roads fishing a bog pond. yea my car dies there! im like I don't understand. so im dealing with my dad triple A findin people to jump my car. first guy walking his dog had cables. i gave him a beer tried jumping it. no luck. call triple A. they come. cant get the truck down here. so we try using the jumper pack. his jumper pack is dead. so we walk back to his truck, shot the **** with him. caught a chunky bass in the culvert right there. so we tried jumping no luck. wait for another truck. we had to find another way in. driving around the bogs looking for another way in. we found it. got it towed to the gas station i go to. starter went. 6 beers, 2 fireball nips, 1 fish for 4.5 hours

yea keep tryin water in the mid 50s there, topwater smallie action!! ITS AWESOME!! OWOOOOOOOOOO SOO HAPPY WATER IS WARMING UP! i caught a night smallie there early april last year on a spook. it hit 3 times right at shore! this was at dusk just before it got dark. spooks,poppers and whopper plopper should be in your line up!

it was may 7th. cloudy cool day. we didnt catch **** all day. took us 10 hours before our 1st bass. which was my PB 5.5 . so we stayed in the area! tried a topwater cuz nothing else was happening thats when the magic happened

when i got my 5.5 and 6.9 smallie at the Q last year. the water temps were mid 50s. there was fish on beds. they were in 10 feet deep on a large shallow flat. i only caught one near a bed. that was a 5.5lbser. the 4.2, 3.5 2.5 and 6.9 were all on topwater

smallies are a cool water fish. so they spawn a little sooner then largemouth

if you are renting get there super early!!! gates open up at 6ish theres a line by 5am. when i go up there! i sleep in my car so i already have a spot in line

Fished a lot this weekend! Fished 4 ponds Saturday! 3 ponds Sunday! Saturdsy got to a honey hole of mine,caught my PB last year outa here. Wind was brutal! No fish! Decided to head to another spot I've been fishing! Checked out a new way in! Paddle across a pond to a canal to get into this pond! Way easier then dragging the yak through bogs! This pond I paddle through was a new spot! Picked off a handful of fish 2lbser here! Working my way to the other spot! Got to the other spot! Bite wasn't good! Had some hits but square bill cranks managed 2bass 1 on a jig the other on a squarebill! Fished the other pond a little bit more picked off 2 more bass! Decided check a honey hole I got down the street! There was a culvert I always check out before I got to the pond! Tons of yellows up there spawning! Like hundreds! Saw a chunky bass sitting there to! Fished a small tsunami jerk minnow! Danced it around 10 minutes later it smoked it! Head to the pond! No fish until dusk! I decided to try topwater for some night fish! Fishing the mouth of a river! 2 chunks! First 2 nigh bass of the year! Sunday! Fished a spot I heard the bite was good! Tubes jerkbaits and spinner baits! No fish! Saw some guys caught half dozen 3-4lbsers next to us in a cove! ALWAYS WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKET! My buddy tipped his yak! He didn't have his life jacket! Thank god I was next to him! We were like 10-20'feet from shore! No fish here! Fished another pond attached to this place! Had 1 hit on a tube! Decided to fish the spot I fished Saturday where I got the night fish' another chunk in the culvert and that's it for the day!

i did catch a pickerel in newfound. i dont think there is any largemouth. it sucked! cold wet and windy. lost 1 small fish in the basin. fished 7am to 7pm

i dont know that area well. i fish the south shore and cape
