My son got his first bass last year @ 6 years old. We where fishing in a pond I go to just to catch somthing. He kept thinking he had somthing so with a boy who cried wolf I hadn't paid much attention to him saying he caught a fish I figured he hooked some vegetation. Till I heard the splash of the bass jumping and sure enough he did get his first bass. The look on his face says it all.

Mine personally, is to work less and fish more.

I would take that photo and upload it to my computer and do a reverse Google search and see if he is taking someone else's photo and claiming it.

Going fishing today around 10.currently 63 outside hopefully the fish are a little more active.

That's my mistake. Didn't register till after I responded what that was. Did get my first small bass today. Honestly didn't even know I had a fish on I just thought I got caught up in some vegetation. There was no fight in the little guy. Practically dragged him in.

That should be exactly what it looks like when I rig it up. Throwing it in a lake. No structure to be seen tho. Not really sure where the drop offs are either yet.

I kinda wanna buy one of those live target baits because of how real they look and the size. This place is known to hold some big bass so I figure they want a big meal.

Here in Missouri the temp has been all over the place. Last week high was 65-70. Now we're back into the 80s. It's just all over the place.

Well d**n, I only got 3 jig heads in the pack. Maybe I should have got a couple packs... Guess I'll see how these go before investing in more.

I've thrown the 5" Senko. It's my go to out there. Always get a bite on that. I'll have to try switching it up tho. I'll have to pull somthing out of storage.

I'll need to pick one of these up. I don't have any in my box yet.

Just got some jig heads for tunes. Figured it's about time I give these a try. Any specifics I should know before I start throwing them?

I've been going to the same canal that my uncle caught a big 6 lb in. Maybe it's just my location. It's hard to reach areas of the lake. Half of it is people's back yard. Hopefully Monday will produce for me. Should be a bit on the warm side.

I'm going to a little community that has a source small and canals connect everything. I typically catch at least 1 2 lb bass if not more. The people that live there tell me they have 8+ lb bass in there since it's all catch and release on the bass. Still searching for my monster. Could it be that I'm going to early? I'm typically getting there around 7 and fishing till around 12 or so. Maybe the water temp is to low that early?

I thought fall was gonna produce a better bite then summer time. Been out 3 times since the Temps have started to fall and havnt got a single bite. Should I be throwing somthing different? I tried top waters, crank baits, and buzz baits. Even tried the tried and true soft plastic worm. Still hasn't produced anything. Gonna go Monday and fish again. Maybe even Sunday. Any ideas of what to throw.

I've only really used plastic worms and to me nothing compares to a Yamamoto. The wiggle it has when it falls is hard to replicate. I've tried some knock off brands and they just don't have the same wiggle. I'm wanting to experiment with remaking my worms by adding some garlic salt or garlic powder and see if the smell sticks. Bass seem to love that garlic smell.

Personally I've been just buying packs of senkos when every I run out and keeping all my ripped bad ones in a zip lock. When winter rolls around I'll make a mold of a Senko and melt down my ripped ones and repour them myself and I hopefully won't be needing to buy packs of senkos for a while again.

That's a different place then in talking about.

All bass are catch and release. I'm not sure about catfish or anything else.

It's Newtown, I think it's gets a pretty good pressure on the waters but at the same time a lot of the people use it for swimming and what not. Every time I'm out there I see a few others fishing but I see them fishing for crappie or kids looking for bluegill. Doesn't seem like a lot of people are looking to get the bass. Since it's all catch and release.

I have thrown some top water but I'm all the time I've spent at this spot, I have never seen a bass breaker the surface of the water. The only bait I've had success with was a soft plastic worm.

The place where I really like to fish has a stupid amount of bluegill and other bait fish. So pretty much everywhere you throw a line there's food for the bass.

I have heard the bass start to bite better trying to get fat for winter. It's been unseasonably warm so far. Just got hit with a cold front so Temps are 70 at the most right now. How long till the first start to realize it's fall and start getting on the good bite? I've just started fishing this summer so I'm really in need of some good fishing since my best days in the summer have only produced 4 fish in 5 hours.

I like to t rig them. I tend to gut hook the bass when I wacky rig.
