  1. Lurebuild.com has a ton of blanks and stencils for painting your own. Get a $20 Master airbrush from Ebay and a Harbor Freight airbrush compressor. Or just rattle can them as the crankbait I painted that has caught the most fish. Allen
  2. Those work but will never work as well as most original baits. They are good to use in warmer water and around toothy fish. Allen

Best advice I can give is if you are going to use injection make sure to get an injector with a locking tip. First one I bought didn't and it is dangerous IMO. Allen
  4. Bought 2 of those to try this year as they look like they really work. And my answer is soft plastics as I only lose one hardbait every two years. Actually I break more hardbaits than I lose. Allen
  5. I want to see a video of how this runs in the water. When I tried regular bladed jig blades like this they didn't work. Had to get some custom blades made that run great. Allen
  6. Grew up poor wishing I could afford all the nice bass gear I saw as a teenager. As an adult my career field pays really well so now I can afford whatever bass gear I want so I went overboard. Allen
  7. Started doing some inventorying yesterday. So far I have: 11 66 quart tubs full of lures, 108 Plano boxes, 5 tackle bags, and 9 unfished rod blanks. This is just what I found in the basement as I also have stuff in the garage, dining room, SUV, and boat. Did I also mention I have 3 boats as well? This is really out of control at this point. My fishing buddies bring their wives and girlfriends over when they get crap about how much stuff they have, They do this to show that the problem could be much worse. Allen
  8. Over 25 years of serious bass fishing below are the list of what I believe are must have lures. These are the lures that have caught 1000's of fish for me over the years not just something I had one good day with. Topwater= LC Sammy, LC Gunfish, and a Pop-R. These 3 baits account for 90% of the bass I have caught on a topwater. Crankbait= RC 1.5 and Manns Baby 1- minus. If I could only ever use 2 crankbaits for the rest of my life it would be these. I have caught bass on the RC 1.5 in 40 degree water in February. Jerkbait= LC Pointer 78sp has probably caught more fish than all other jerkbaits combined. Spinnerbait= SK Midnight Special. This is the only spinnerbait that I buy because I normally make my own. For night fishing it is the best bait I have found period. Allen
  9. Summertime over grass that is 1-2' from the surface. Second is early morning/late evening when a topwater should be working but they will not commit. Manns Baby 1- is the best wake bait I have found in 20 years. Allen
  10. Right now I can barely get around my basement and cannot make any lures in the garage because of space. There is fishing stuff everywhere to the point that even the most dedicated tackle hoarder would say it's ridiculous. Started going through stuff today to get rid of as there is no way I will ever use half of this stuff in my lifetime. Between lures and tackle making stuff I plan on getting rid of a truck bed full to make some room. Allen
  11. Around here they are top 3 most used bait especially for smallmouth. I have yet to find a tube that doesn't work. For tough conditions my favorite is a Gitzit in the Brown or Leech color. Allen
  12. Carolina rig hands down! Only use them in tournaments when desperate. Allen
  13. Wish they made these in more colors. Allen

They are the same Shawn just renamed the company. Allen
  15. Why do you need so heavy of a tubehead? Allen
  16. Most of the time I am using a 1/2oz jig if flipping. This is casting at targets like laydowns or docks. Dragging a football jig is 3/4oz with a twin tail grub. You just have to keep at it until you build up confidence. It took me a year to get confident with jigs and now they are one of my go-to baits. Allen
  17. My goal now is to catch a 5lb SM. Guess I need to go fish with AJay. Allen
  18. Original Senko and the Jackal Flick Shake. Allen
  19. 8-2 LM on a solid black flipping jig I made. 4-2 SM Smallie Beaver in California 420. Allen
  20. Either a nose hook small bait like the shad shape worm or a offset worm hook for straight worms. Weight is 1/8 to 1/4 and straight 8lb floro most of the time. Allen
  21. Wish they still made those worms. Allen
  22. First ones I bent the wire like the original. Not sure what all those bends were for so the second batch I left straight to see if there was any change in action. Have not fished either much but I don't see any difference without the bends except they are easier to make. These are still in the prototype phase so I will try different bends to see what it does. Allen
  23. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/6th_Sense_Shindig_Twin_Tail_Grub/descpage-SDGG.html Bought some of these to try as trailers for the smaller chatterbaits. Allen
  24. The guy who placed 3rd using pink. Allen.
  25. I have some of those around here if you are looking for some. Allen
