  1. Jerkbaits are the only lure you have to carry a lot of different baits. Like you mentioned subtle differences make a major difference in the amount of fish caught. This is where those expensive JDM baits are worth the money. Latest 2 favorites of mine are the Vision 110 Jr in FA Wakasagi and a Imakatsu RipRizer unknown color( color is written in Japanese). Allen
  2. Try to find a Terminator tiny buzz. Allen
  3. For 20 years GP was the best color tube for SM followed by roadkill. Last 3 years it has fallen off for me. Now an original Gitzit in brown or leech has worked best. Same thing happened with finesse jigs as dark brown has taken over GP. Allen
  4. I bought some unpainted blanks for $1 each to try. Allen
  5. Went to Academy last night and most prices were what I expected. Now the Dirty jigs puppy heads were $7.49 for 3 heads. Guess they are trying to buy a house next to Bill Gates with those prices. Only thing I need to buy are some 3/16oz bullet weights. Allen
  6. If that Hart spinnerbait is from 2006 I may of made it personally. The guy who taught me about spincasting made baits for Hart. I spent about a week helping him make a bunch of their baits. Allen

Zoom Swamp Crawler works great for me and they are cheap. Allen
  8. Strike King are not expensive compared to other baits. An alternative would be to buy blanks and paint them yourself. Spray paint cans are all you need for most patterns. Best option is to buy a lure retriever. Some of you would faint if you saw the places I will throw a $25 bait. Allen
  9. Drop shot or just swimming them slowly like you see with ffs. I have been fishing these little minnows a lot lately in shallow clear water. Cast upstream and just lift the rod tip up. Bait will slowly fall while the current pushes it back to you. Last year this was the best technique on the river for numbers. Allen
  10. Best way for me is with a weighted Owner twist lock hook. Allen
  11. Going to try them because they come in Natural Shad color. That's my #1 Baitfish color and has caught a thousand fish. Allen

Guess I am the only person on here that can't catch fish on a roboworm. Allen
  13. I would trim some of the skirt so it doesn't interfere with the action of the trailer. Allen
  14. Wire length and diameter play a big role as well. Can you post a picture of the bait? If you decide to go with Hiltabrant blades order based on measurements not stated size. Their sizes are way off other blades. For example Worth and Lakeland a size 5 Colorado is maybe 1mm different? A Hiltabrant 5 is equivalent to a size 7. Allen
  15. Rarely do I use one as I tie my skirts to flare like War Eagle. When I do use one it is a Zoom split tail or a 4" grub tail pointed down. Allen
  16. Dirty jigs guppyhead is popular. Honestly I normally use some ballheads I pour myself on better hooks. Allen
  17. 5/16oz GP with a Zoom Super Chunk Jr or Chigger Craw as a trailer. This is my #1 jig period and I am a big jig fisherman. For rod I use a 6-9 MHF Kistler with 10 or 12lb floro. Allen
  18. Try fishing the Shannondoah the fish are bigger. Allen
  19. I get different baits made in Yamamotos Natural Shad color. Allen
  20. What was it? Allen
  21. Guess I need to try this. Allen
  22. In Maryland Arigs can only have 3 baits with hooks. Never heard of the Game Warden checking but that's the rule. Allen
  23. Favorite to fish is a spinnerbait. Not the most productive lure though. Allen
  24. Have a fishing buddy that has been looking for these. Allen
