There are tons of different trailers on the market. So for the purpose of simplification you need only two. Action: these are the ones that have appendages that flap,swim, and cause commotion in the water. These are what you use in warm water aggressive bite. Subtle: cooler water, non-aggressive bites when a Subtle presentation works best. The trailers in this category are plastic chunks or pork. If you have no idea what to start with I recommend a Zoom Super Chunk that matches the jig color. I have fished this trailer for over 20 years and it has worked in every situation. Allen
