  1. It finally arrived! Right now I have 3 prototype spinnerbaits drying in the basement that will be tested tomorrow. If I do not lose or destroy them tomorrow I will post some pictures. Allen

I have a couple Asura minnows and do not care for them much? They blow out to easy and run on their side if jerked hard. Try the Team Daiwa 1091 minnow if you are looking for high end jerkbaits beside LC. Allen
  3. BPS Lucky Craft RC 1.5 is still on sale. Allen
  4. Are those dancin eels on your wall? :-? Allen
  5. http://personal.denison.edu/~stocker/cfgallery.html There you go! Adjust jig colors accordingly. http://personal.denison.edu/~stocker/cfgvirilis.html This is what most of the crayfish I find in my area look like. Allen
  6. Looks like we had the same idea? I planned on a Avid 66MLF spinning blank for a casting rod for small topwaters and jerkbaits. Those 65sp LC pointers and Bevy pop 50's are hard to cast on a M casting rod. I was planning on one of those BPS lite finesse BC reels with some 6- 8lb mono. Allen
  7. I have one or 2 that are called Sunrise something that are a metallic red on the sides with an orange or chartreuse belly? (I will have to check on the exact color) Allen

4" Senko Baby brush hog Eakins jig w/zoom trailer LC pointer 78sp Bandit 100 BPS RC 1.5 White spinnerbait These are the main stay and if they do not work I just start throwing the tackle box at them. Allen
  9. Generally I am not impressed with the quality of those lures. Skirt length, color and size should be determined by water color? The biggest bass I catch on a spinnerbait are on a smaller profile bait. Allen
  10. I picked up some to try this year. Allen
  11. 5/16oz Eakins style jig with Zoom super chunk jr or Netbait paca chunk trailer. Now I do like hand poured trailers but I always forget to order them and end up just using Zoom because they are sold everywhere. Allen
  12. I have learned that making crankbaits is hard to do. Even though I have caught fish on them weighing and getting the bills in straight isn't easy. Looks like you are on your way. Allen
  13. Check with Earthworm77 I think he is painting soft plastics? Allen

5/16 oz finesse jig Suspending jerkbait square lipped crankbait Allen
  15. http://www.smithwicklures.com/Smithwick_2006.pdf Scroll down and look a the Lazer Craw, I think it is the closest I have seen to Rayburn Red? Allen
  16. Do you have a pic? I own about 100 Rogues some of which are old but I have never seen any that would make Rayburn Red (like excalibur rayburn red)? Allen
  17. While I will use snaps with hardbaits I never use them on a spinnerbait. If you try more than a couple different spinnerbaits and cannot get them to work you are using the wrong lure. Usually if I am changing spinnerbaits I am just using a differnt weight of the same color. Allen
  18. Short arms for single colorado blade baits and longer arms for everything else. Allen

  20. Looks like you are part of the troop surge? When I saw that on the news I just started to get my life in order to go but the order has not come yet? Allen
  21. Strike King Wild Shiner = $0.99 Dick's bargin bin Allen
  22. St. Croix Premier about $90 each. I bought 2 of them a couple of years ago with the intention of upgrading to Loomis in the future. These work great and I do not plan on upgrading and if they break I will just replace with the same rod. Another option is to buy a cheap IM6 rod at Wal-Mart for like $20? Low end rods have more of a parobolic flex that you are looking for. The downside would be that they are heavier and not built very well but you are not out much money. Allen
  23. What type of jig; finesse, flippin, swimming? Then there is the grass vs rocks issue? I make different ones for different fishing conditions. The main thing would be starting with a good quality hook not a Eagle Dull $3 per 100,000. Allen
  24. I am going to have to bend a wireform like one of these to try out. It looks like it would not be very stable though? Allen

LC G-Splash 65 works the best for me. Allen
