  1. I've got one from Browning that i've been using as my canoe bag for 20+ years. It's really amazing that none of the straps have broken and the zippers all still work after all those years of abuse.
  2. yep. do it all the time (azalea bushes work great for this). the neighbors think I'm nuts but the cat loves it.
  3. For me its more about speed than depth. If you want to go fast use the heavier one , if you want to go slow use as light a one as you can and still keep bottom contact.
  4. You should add a walking bait, like a zara spook or spook jr. Sometimes they just like that motion.

I was thinking more dylan...the sun's not yellow its chicken
  6. The old reliable 9.9 hp should do nicely. You should be able to find a good used one for under $750.
  7. I also put a worm on a swing head jig alot. fish it like a crank bait.
  8. crappie anglers do it all the time.
  9. Holly cow! He may have saved someone's dog.
  10. I've always used mono on buzzbaits, but am slowly switching all topwater to braid because so many strikes come at the end of the cast. Don't see why braid wouldn't be a good choice for buzzbaits. Big single hook bait so you don't need stretch to keep them hooked up. Might have to be more patient on the hookset, but that's just timing. If you're successful with braid I wouldn't switch.
  11. Chart/black back. Use to have a norman deep little n that was black w/blue flake that was a killer but haven't been able to find a replacement. nothing can put them in the boat faster than a crank bait on a fired up school.
  12. I know a few kids........ That’s awesome. Hope he catches a biggun.
  13. one of these on the deck and your all set. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/T-H_Marine_Rod_Tamer_Deck_Mount_Rod_Straps/descpage-THMRT.html?from=gshop&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy-6I06v05gIVCMZkCh1UDA8gEAQYAiABEgIKfPD_BwE Looks good.
  14. send all your buzz baits to me, I'll put them to use for you, and even send you pics if you like.
  15. Praying.
  16. Gonna be 67 here on christmas day. Sounds like a good time to try the christmas buzzbait bite.
  17. I'd sure look at hydro turf before i carpeted the decks.
  18. perfect. you'll have some good fun on that rig down there. duck season too.
  19. It takes a real heavy weight to punch ice.
  20. Caught this one super shallow last december. I'll have to try the january buzz bait bite but it is hard to pry the jig rod out of my hands this time of year.
  21. a jig. the most versatile bait made. you can put anything on it and catch fish anywhere at any time of year.
  22. Best dragon fly imitation i know of is the old zoom french fry fished weightless. Doesn't imitate the adults, but the emerging nymphs.
  23. Florida strain bass are famous for shutting down with falling water temp. But you fish when you can. I would start out looking shallow as cold water sinks.
