  1. Thats simply amazing Paparock. That head is the spitting image of my ex girlfriend when she woke up in the morning, lol. Thanks for the link.
  2. Pecktonville Maryland--- 3 degrees and with the 10-15 mph wind chill it is expected to get down to -15 below. I am like George on Seinfield, I definitely have shrinkage at these temps !!! 02/05/2007 at 2049
  3. They work-------for awhile. Buy yourself a good quality reel like a Shimano or Abu Garcia, it will be worth it in the long run.
  4. Thanks LBH, we are on the same page. I am willing to give up portability for quality. I had this cam on my list. It looks great. I wanted one for the ole' tree stand as well as fishing. In my old age I am leaning more to shooting with a camera more than the bow. I will always bow hunt but, I have seen so many great shots walk by me that I want to get them on film. Its between this camera and a Canon I like. I love my antique Canon AE 1. Thanks for your help. I will go the Ritz Camera or www.TigerDirect.com and take a look.
  5. Jnamo, I finally found someone whom had some experience with Tectan line. I wanted to try the 9.2. How was it as far as memory, stretch, etc.
  6. I know this is a bass fishing forum hookum12, I was asking if anyone ever tried barbless for bass, read my initial thread. I am going to try it for deep water smallies this year. Just experimenting, thats all.
  7. I am looking for a good digital camera to replace my antique and would like to keep it under 300.00. I know I can get a good recommendation in here. Any suggestions? Does it have to have 5 pixels? I do want a zoom of at least 8x. Thoughts, ideas? Fill me in, I am blind on this subject and burned out on reading about it.
  8. I am Scottish Paparock and wonder if any of my ancestors dined on one of these bruins. I wonder how big the steaks were on these babys !
  9. Thanks for the good read Paparock. Very interesting.
  10. I will say one thing, I like the air of dignity that both of these coaches put back into the game.
  11. justfishin replied to 6.5pounder's topic in Introductions
Welcome young man. If they call you 6.5 pounder because of the size fish you catch, you can call me 1/4 pounder, lol.
  12. Why not just use a good mono copolymer? Why do you want to use fluorocarbon? All of these new lines like braid and fluorocarbon have a lot of idiosyncrasies that you have to think about while using them. Its hard to beat a good low vis green line such as Big Game for baitcasters and AN40 for spinning reels.JMO
  13. Where else can you go and ask a question like that and get a ton of info back like " right now ". That is what makes this site so great. It is a stockpile of info at your finger tips.
  14. I will say one thing, there was some hard hitting and meat grinding in this bowl.
  15. RW, so you already had some Sammy Adams?, LOL. ;D
  16. Put me on the short bus, I only got 15 right. I have one question for the ones whom got all of these questions right, how in the he** did you know the colors on the Campbell's soup can? P.S.- Dink, see the " Just say no " thread. ;D
  17. Its funny. I like both of these teams although, I am rooting for the Colts. It ought to be a good game. I won't make a prediction until I get the food on here soon and get smarter with a few Sammy Adams,LOL.
  18. Good stuff Catt. I was curious. When I used to fish for big female bedding bass ( I gave this up a long time ago ) the females always had a " bloody tail " or a least thats what we called it. The lower portion of the tail would always be worn away and sort of bloody. I know the males sweep out the nest but, I always wondered if the lower chunk of tail seemingly eaten away was due to the bucks nipping at it to get some kind of reaction from the doe? Any ideas?
  19. Positively, absolutely, get your BS. Its a must have and a Masters is even better. What you chose to major in is your choice but, I can tell you one thing. If you continue to fish tourneys and do well, the sponsors will look at your background and education. Lets face it, tournament fishing is a business, bottom line. This world we live in is media driven whether we like it or not and the sponsors want to know you can handle all of that responsibility. College should be a young mans first priority. Don't be like me and have to go back at 45 years old. I did it but, it wasn't easy because of all the other priority's I had to take care of like a mortgage and such. Good luck and go for it all.
  20. Always, unless I am throwing a spinnerbait around wood or if the grass is really floating on the water like when it dies in the later fall. Usually a 1 or 2/0.
  21. LOL Avid. You didn't pi** off a gypsy sometime during your life did you? She might have put the evil " You will never own a Cavitron " eye on you.
  22. I like Excalibers for treble hooks. www.***.com/descpage-ERTREB.html
  23. Thanks for the link Avid, I will try that technique as well. There is nothing worse than working on getting a hook out just to watch the fish float on top of the water, struggling. It makes me feel terrible, even though it is rare. Maybe the cutters as well as your link will help prevent this.
  24. Yea, I love those steamed clams dipped in melted butter. I told everyone not to crack the ceramic on my toilet bowl after eating my meal. Enjoy the game.
