Biggest deer to have ever walked the earth.
The biggest deer to have ever lived. 'A proud heritage' learn more about the Ancient Irish Elk which roamed the lowlands of central and eastern Ireland almost 10,500 years ago. The giant irish deer which weighed up to 1000 lbs and stood at 2 metres at the sholder, with an amazing antler width of 4 metres! This Giant Irish Deer is believed to have roamed the lowlands of central and eastern Ireland, weighting up to 800-1000 lbs. and stood at 2 metres at the shoulder, with antler width of up to 4 metres, (weighting up to 35kg) are the largest antlers know to have existed on any deer. They were palm like antlers, similar to those of a Fallow deer. It is understood they were a victim of the Ice Age finally disappearing from Ireland around 10,500 years ago. They had very few enemies due to their size, with the wolf posing very little treat.

Who has the best Buzz bait???
The Cavitron is a fish catching fool. I have caught a lot of nice bass on this bait, both green and brown. I would have to say the white 1/4oz has done the best for me.

Steamed shrimp, pork ribs on the grill, steamers, Sammy Adams and iced tea. How do you think my lower intestinal tract will feel tomorrow?

why wont it work on my lake???
Those guys were not being honest with you. I would bet that you can catch bass on top waters there. Maybe, early morning or late evening is the time specific for top waters there. If you have grass on this lake I can almost guarantee a buzz bait bite. Also, unlike some critics here, not all guides are out to fool you or trick you. Some are honest and will do their best to make sure you have a good day, no matter what it takes, as well as, attempt to teach and inform you. Hiring a guide is a great way to learn a new body of water or help introduce you to a new level of fishing. I agree, there are some bad guides but I feel most are are honest. Before you hire a guide make sure you research their track record and that they make available a list of clients that can inform you of his or her ability's and demeanor.

Hook Cutting Pliers?
Thanks Travlin man. I will definitely purchase a pair of those Debarbs. Twenty bucks is a heck of a lot cheaper than seventy eight bucks and they are probably just as good. I especially like the idea that they are magnetized in order not to allow the cut off piece of hook to remain in the fish. I looked on the BPS site and could not find them in there but, I hope they will have them in the store.

Tectin Premium fishing line.
I found the thread on Tectin line RW. Evidently it was not a popular thread or very few have tried this line. I purchased some of your #6 Yozuri Soft and will try Tectin as well. I am just attempting to try a few other lines like I do every year. I was hoping to get a feel for the quality of the Tectin to see if it was worth purchasing and giving it a shot.

Tectin Premium fishing line.
Somehow I lost the thread I had posted on Tectin line listed in the Cabelas cat. Has anyone had any experience with the #6 and #8 test on spinning equipment?

Hook Cutting Pliers?
My friend bought a pair last fall. He is on a business trip now but, when he returns I will find out where he purchased them. If I remember right they were $78.00.

Help: Stringers - Suitable for C&R??
Could you possibly build a rectangle frame about 30"Lx 18"x18" out of wood or aluminum and screen it with say, chicken wire or something similar? You could have a door to put your fish in the box and have foam flotation mounted to the top. A ring with a rope to push it far enough off the bank to float.

How to remove a hook and tend to the injury.
Fishing hook removal techniques along with additional care for those with special conditions such as diabetes. Prophylactic antibiotic therapy may be considered for persons who are immunosuppressed or have poor wound healing (e.g., patients with diabetes mellitus or peripheral vascular disease). Prophylactic antibiotic therapy may also be considered for deeper wounds that involve the tendons, cartilage or bone. Follow-up care should be performed to ensure adequate healing and the absence of infection. www.aafp.org/afp/20010601/2231.html

Crankbaits fished like jerkbaits
I have used this tactic for smallies using Norman Baby N's on the river and Wiggle Warts on the lakes ,with Suspend-A-Dots, for smallmouth. Sometimes its just what they want. Especially the Wiggle Warts that run about 10' on #8 test, in clear mountain reservoirs.

Deja vu or lame TV?
Just one more reason to add to my question, why do I pay $38.95 for cable every month?

Ever tried barbless hooks?
Barbless hooks are a popular tactic for trout fisherman but, have you ever tried them for bass? If so, did it noticeably increase your hook ups on either green or brown bass? Also, do you think this tactic would increase the odds of less damage to a bass during hook removal in the event of a bass swallowing a bait down to its gullet?
