  1. I have both Team All Star in bait casting and spinning and really like them. Can't be beat for around a $100.00.
  2. I have zero tolerance for the government in any way, shape or form controlling our right of possession or the right of legal non felon citizens to own firearms for the purpose of hunting or protecting our familys, period. I will not even go any farther on this subject and I am sure my statement angers a few but, my feelings on this subject will never change. If you disagree with me I will back up your right to do so 100%. That is what this country is all about.
  3. I like to throw them on a 2/o EWG hook and use a 1/8 oz bullet sinker around those areas where there are just patches of grass on 12# test. My favorite colors for them are green pumpkin, PB&J and June bug.
  4. I agree a 100% Catt.
  5. I want to see every one of you attending this trip catch a 12 pounder, at least thats what I wish for you guys. Have fun.
  6. Did you wear your lab coat, mask, rubber gloves and have the room atmosphere set at neg pressure when performing these experiments LBH? ;D
  7. There are a lot of great typing courses on the web. It may seem hard at first but, stick with it and you will not regret it. One day it just comes natural to you. Faster, easier, and you will be able to type with your eyes closed. It makes life easier. www.goodtyping.com/ www.typeonline.co.uk/lesson1.html
  8. I either " Walk the dog " with them or give them aggressive short hops. I love these baits for smallies.

  10. What TNbassR and Raul said is the ticket.
  11. The Zoom Super Fluke in Pearl White and Smoky Joe are on my list of the top 5 for smallies on the river at times. Our bass in MD, PA and VA seem to love them. A lot of guys I know use a barrel swivel about 6-8" up the line but, I personally use a Gremlin very light 1/32 or 1/64 weight placed where you would put a bullet sinker, right at the nose. I kind of let it sink to about a foot or so off the bottom and give it a gentle twitch from time to time. I don't get very aggressive with them most of the time and just let them do their thing. This is not always the case as just letting them fall a foot of so and fast twitching it can be a killer as well. A little dip of the tail in chartreuse dye also seems to kick them in gear at times, as well. Let the fish tell you what they want in that given time. Every day is different it seems. Good luck.
  12. Eventually the bait companies have to run out of ideas to catch us fisherman, don't you think? They have to be running out of variations.
  13. I live a very short distance from a small 250 acre lake that is gin clear. Most of the bass I " see " that spawn in this lake are usually doing so around the last week of April to the first two weeks of May. Its almost like clockwork every year. Most of the green bass are on three main gravel and sand flats in 1-3 feet of water but, one day years ago I saw some old beds in a area in 10-15 feet of water. The following year I fished that spot and caught some real nice smallies in that area. I also caught a few largemouth there although, they seemed to be in the 5 foot range. This raised a lot of questions for me and would probably be a good post. I gathered out of that experience that green bass, at times, spawn in deeper water if it is clear and I proved to myself that smallies will spawn deep but, a question remains, will they spawn together in the same general area as I caught a mixed bag that day. They were not exactly together but, were within 20 or so yards of each other. What say you fisherman? Will green and brown bass spawn in the same general area at times? Have you ever experienced this phenomenon?
  14. It is colder than a witches a_ _ here LBH. I live in the mountains of Western Maryland. You like the snow and cold? LBH, remember, " Just say no". ;D
  15. I still use the split rings but, I changed over the rings on all my cranks, jerks and such to oval rings instead of round ones. They are easier to work with and a set of split ring pliers are worth their weight in gold.

  17. I guess ugly women and your fishing holes are similar. If you wake up with a ugly woman and can sneak out without being seen, then, its great and you don't have to explain yourself. If your buddies don't see you on a productive secret fishing hole and you can get out of there without being seen, you don't have to explain yourself either.
  18. Remember, " Just say no ".
  19. Not all of the pro's power fish all the time. I was with Ken McKintosh ( a great guy by the way ) in "98" on the Lower Potomoc when he etched out second place on a Top 150 Tourney only to be beat by Denny Briar by a few pounds. He dead sticked a split shot rig with a Zoom Centipede in 98 degree heat. Long and tedious days, but it payed off for him. I never drank so much water in my life to try to keep hydrated !
  20. I hope you enjoy your boat, its pretty sweet. Now you have to find a way to keep the snot from running down your shirt with that big 250 in the wind,
  21. In my world I only use co-poly line. I am trying some Yozuri Soft on RW's recommendation but, as far as braid or flouro, I have used both and did not like either one. I am just old school though. Use what you feel the best about.
  22. I have had my eye on this line for awhile and was wondering if anyone here has tried it for a finesse line?
  23. Nail clippers for your line and crap paper. ;D
  24. Curado or a C4 4600 series Abu Garcia would be two good choices. I like both but tend to use the Curado more for flukes and the Abu for worms.
