This is a must have bait for your arsenal. They excel in stained and dirty water. Although, my favorite chug type bait is a Rico the Chug Bug is a producer.

I use 1/8 90% of the time along with a green pumpkin trick worm.

I am sitting here typing and watching the snow fall over the mountain range this morning here in Western Maryland. Howell waved him on,...not the boats he threaded through. Is it a marked channel? No. They have every right to be where they were. As Trip said, he should have idled through that whole area. Did the time fit the crime? Barely. A fitting add on would be for him to attend a boating safety course. Humble his azz. That was a tough call for Trip but, he is the T director, bottom line. I am not a fan of the G-Man at all. Never was. I am going to be like Sweden and stay neutral on this one. I do have some questions though. Put yourself in his shoes. Its the Bassmasters Classic, you are pumped up to the max, the pressure of your sponsors in over your head and your showing can change monetary values for the next season. I can see where a possible brain fart is in order. I agree that what he did was unsafe, a bad call on his part and yada,yada but, he was waved through so, should that have been added to the equation? Was a DQ justified or, should he have had points taken off or, put last on the next day flights? To the point, did the time fit the crime?

My buddies and I were talking the other day and discussing out strangest catches while fishing. I came up with: 1. I had a friend in my boat one morning and he was throwing a tiny torpedo for smallies and he had a owl swoop down out of a tree and my buddie hooked it in the leg and brought it in. Watching that owl attack him while he was attempting to unhook it was hilarious. 2. I was fishing the Lower Potomac one day and thought I had set the hook on a monster. I ended up with a pair of smelly high top Ked sneakers and one had a can of tuna fish in it and it was still unopened, go figure !!!

Thanks Russ, I appreciate it. Don't worry, we can hook up for some smallies this year sometime. I know the one in that picture is a small 17 incher but, there is a story behind it. You cannot tell in the picture but, it had white on the tips of all its fins, one eye, one gill was almost grown shut and it stunk like hell. My clients had just asked me to show them how to use a tube and I pitched in by a pier and caught this one. They snapped that pic of me when I caught that homely fish. They were two of the funniest guys I had ever taken on a trip. We laughed all day. The guys said they didn't pay 250.00 to catch deformed fish,lol. Again, thanks.

I agree 100%. As I stated in my post on this subject, in hindsight this is not the place for such issues. I am sorry that I even started that post. If everyone could keep a level head in discussing such issues it would be fun. Unfortunatly everyone cannot be a adult on these types of subjects. I have used my own pic for a new avatar before. A client of mine sent me a pic he snapped one morning and I saved it in my Yahoo Photos. I went to use it for a avatar and I cannot seem to inject it. I did what I always do. Is there something I should be doing since it is from the yahoo photo site?
