  1. You do realize that if you did have your camera you would have never caught it ;D
  2. Word. Between all the pitching I did as a kid and all the fishing I've done as an adult, my right arm is nearly shot I am not a physiologist, but I believe that casting doesn't provide enough resistance to build strength. The repetitive and jerky motions provide plenty of torque to destroy joints, though.
  3. Without Ike and Swindle, who is the favorite for throwing the cry baby fit this year?
  4. Awesome reel. Don't listen to the inevitable posts that will follow suggesting you buy a Revo this or a Daiwa that. The Pflueger guys will really try to hard sell you ;D Go with your gut. The Citica is a great value.
  5. I have this: AS69MLXF 6' 9" ML X-Fast 1 6 - 10 1/8 - 1/2 3.8 4 $160.00 I have used it for two weeks now and it makes me feel like this: Seriously. I have used it for everything from a 1/8 oz Roadrunner to a 1/2 oz LC Gunfish. Awesome rod. I am a hardcore baitcaster and since I got this rod, I have been looking for excuses to use it. I have been using a lot of shakey heads, drop shots, tubes, etc. lately. The other day I went fishing with my son for 3-4 hours. When the trip was over I realized that this was the only rod I removed from my locker. Unheard of! I usually have 6-8 (casting) rods lying about and use most of them. OK. Overenthusiastic endorsement over for now. Resume normal posting.
  6. Just keep fishing and don't give up. you are living in the "golden age", buddy. When I started learning how to bass fish, all I had was magazines. You have a nearly endless supply of info here and elsewhere on the internet. BTW, listen to rw.
  7. I can't believe certain topics are taboo here to prevent hard feelings and uncivil behavior, yet you still have posting priveledges ;D
  8. On those rare days when I simply cannot seem to catch a single dink, I will not go home until I absolutely have to because of prior commitments, etc. At this point it has become a personal challenge between me and the fish and I will prevail!
  9. Wuh? I think he was talking about the bait rolling, not the line. He suggested the swivel to prevent the line from twisting. Now, go drink some coffee and get back to us
  10. Sensitivity Weight Quality components Casting accuracy Warranty
  11. Indiana boy here. When I was younger, I always said I would mount a 5 lber. After I caught that, I decided 6 lbs would be more worthy. Then after I caught that I said 7 lbs. My pb is currently 7 lb 11 oz (the fish in my avatar) and now I'm shooting for 8 lbs. I still have zero fish mounts. I don't know exactly when a fish will be worthy of a replica for me, but I hope I know it when I catch it.
  12. I am a chemist/technical writer for a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company.
  13. How much money you got? Also, are you eligible for any type of large credit line?

I think the Paca Craw/Chunk have as much action in motion as a twin tail but they look much more natural at rest.
  15. Trilene XL is the standard by which all other spinning reel lines are judged. It is all I ever used for many, many years (and my Dad and my Grandpa). You will have no problems with it. It is a good line.
  16. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Mudddddddyyyyyyy LOL! Avid, you are ON FIRE today! ;D

Paca chunks and Paca Craws (for more bulk and a slower fall). Awesome trailers. The claws flap around like crazy.
  18. If you used a grownup rod with the reel on top like God intended, this wouldn't be an issue. j/k

Hey! I didn't even insinuate that you didn't know what you were doing and do I get a thanks? Ungrateful %$#@!^^%$#@!!!!!!. ;D
  20. Please take this in the helpful spirit intended. You are wasting money and risking the line slipping on the spool. Use mono backing.

I am not an expert, but I have built computers and I do all that needs to be done to maintain them, so for what it's worth here's my opinion. If everything works OK, leave it alone. The only time I think BIOS needs updated is if you are having hardware compatibility issues.
