I work for "BIG PHARMA". Another thing to consider is that the biggest part of our profits come from the U.S. The reason other countries are able to offer prescription drugs so cheaply is because the U.S. market subsidizes them. If the U.S. switches to to severely deflated regulated prices like they have in Canada, who will pay for R & D? Also, I always hear how the cost of health care is rising so much faster than inflation and the largest increases come from drug prices. This is true. More people are taking more drugs and this in many cases allows people to avoid medical procedures and hospital stays. Drugs are helping people live longer as well, which dramatically increases the costs of care near the end of life. Just a couple more facts to consider

Of course I'm disappointed the Colts lost, but the fact that they were in position to win that game with only one starting receiver and half an O-line makes me very optimistic for the near future. I use 50lb PowerPro with a 15 lb fluoro leader. I have used a blood knot and a uni to uni and in both cases, the fluoro cuts through the braid after a while. I began using a swivel and I've had no problems. I could be doing something wrong. If so, I welcome any suggestions.

You might try checking the weights after your scale has been sitting in the boat in the sun all day. Environmental conditions can have a huge effect on an electronic scale's performance. That could be the reason for the discrepancy.

Since you feel this way, have you tried the Yo-Zuri Hardcore Drum or the LC LV-200? Do you think the knocker plate would have the same effect?

No can do. Getting ready to take the kids to soccer practice. I spent the last 2 1/2 hrs using tubes, DS and grubs and still took a beating. Sometimes you just have to admit defeat.

I got out at sunrise this morning and fished for 5 hours. I had three nibbles on plastic (I suspect bluegill) and that was it. This is my first zero in about a year and a half. Time to start a new streak :'(

Well, as I said, all my phones checked out OK. My DSL and voice run on the same line in my house. None of the jacks would work even if I unplugged everything and tried them one at a time. Anyway, the problem turned out to be the wire running from the phone box to the splitter under my house. I could see no visible damage and everything appeared dry. Also, I have not been anywhere near the phone lines nor have I or anyone else done anything to damage them as far as I know. All I know is, when I finally bit the bullet yesterday and crawled under the house with a fresh roll of phone wire and changed the wire from the box to the splitter, all is well. After some creative Googling, I learned that the DSL is capable of working on just one of the two wires, so I guess one of mine was damaged, apparently. I still don't know what was wrong, but at least everything works now. Thanks for all the replies, guys

I finally have a day off tomorrow so I'll let everyone know what it was (if I ever find out). I have a feeling I may just have to rewire everything without ever knowing what caused it all to begin with. We'll see.
