  1. Here's the only one I'm aware of at that price point: http://www.anglersupply.com/product.cfm?model=Live%20Bait%20Shallow%20Vibe&manufacturer=Yo-Zuri&type=Hard%20Baits
  2. Are you talking about the graphite ones? I bought one of these at KMart with yard mowing money about 20-25 years ago. It still works fine.
  3. Extra Wide Gap refers to the shape of the hook bend (the distance between the hook shank and the point).
  4. It's not that Senkos won't work in this situation, but they are not optimal. What's wrong is that you asked for advice and got some really good tips and didn't follow them. Try some of our suggestions and see what happens.
  5. I use 3/0 or 4/0 EWG and bury the eye about 1/4" into the head. I have not experienced the head slipping down on these baits.
  6. I like to use jigs, big worms, Colorado blade spinnerbaits and square bill cranks.
  7. I was under the impression that suspended fish rarely go down to get a bait. They nearly always feed up. I have heard this countless times on TV fishing shows, for what it's worth.
  8. Straight from the horses mouth (Aaron Martens): "The knot I use for drop shot rigging is actually a clinch knot called the Double Clinch. To tie, double your line and push it through the hook eye. Holding the tag end with the standing line, wrap the loop up the line five times and push it through the bottom loop, just above the eye. Lubricate the knot and carefully cinch down the knot with even pressure on the tag and standing line and the doubled over loop. Cut off the remaining loop and run the line through the eye with the point facing up. I always start with a long tag end for drop shot rigging, especially in clear water." 9. I have used a machine screw with silicone with good results in this situation.
  10. I would definitely go at least 12'. I borrowed a ten footer last year and my son (120 lb) and I (260 lb) and a tm battery and motor nearly went down. We couldn't even move without taking on water.
  11. Jig Deep Crank Texas Rig Shaky Head Drop Shot
  12. I bought a pack of these recently after having forgotten about them for a couple years. Wow! These have to be the best value in a soft stick bait. I have been fishing 3 times, used them for a total of 2.5-3 hours and caught approximately 20-25 bass and I'm still using the first one! The action is very good as well. I would estimate they fall somewhat slower than a GYCB, but with all the same tail wiggle. I know I've been a GYCB supporter and I'll continue to be one, but I think the Zero has a place in my tackle box from here on out.
  13. You might try using a floating Rapala and gluing some clear hard plastic on top for wings. Then paint it up to look right.
  14. Although I don't have any personal experience with Falcon rods yet, I took your side until I saw your response. I felt like the exchange was handled very poorly by both parties. Your reaction made quite a negative impression on me as a potential customer. This apology and explanation restores some measure of confidence in you and your company. I truly believe what you say and I am impressed with your apparent sincerity. Welcome to the forum.
  15. Also, you might try looking locally for the Kinami Palm Tree. Same bait, different package.
  16. Rig the worm exactly the same, but pull the worm forward a little bit after you're done and bury a tiny amount of the hook point back into the worm body. This is known as a "texpose" rig and allows for the greatest combination of weedlessness and ease of hook set. The hook doesn't have anything to do with feeling the strike. That depends on your rod and the line you use. Although I've never used them, BPS hooks aren't well regarded. I use Mustad Ultra Point, but many others prefer Owner, Gamakatsu, Hookers, etc.
  17. Because when you haven't been here long enough for us to form an opinion about you, you might be a raging psycho for all we know. You have done nothing yet to disprove this notion. Yep. For all we know you insulted the guy's mother. Now, just show us the complete correspondence so we can judge this dispute fairly. Chill out and enjoy the bounty that is BassResource.com! Welcome to the forum.

Dear Abby, I was fishing the other day with my big, beautiful wife when we saw a scruffy looking fellow who looked really lonely. I approached the poor soul and said, "Mind if we join you?" (He looked really lonely and, honestly, maybe he wasn't "all there", if you know what I mean.) Well anyway, this jerk had the nerve to just pack up and walk away! Abby, is there anything I can do to prevent being treated this way in the future? Bessie and I were just being friendly. Pa
  20. I was once bank fishing and, for reasons I won't go into, I cast a popper over a tree limb about 20' high and let the lure drop in the water. I caught a 12" bass and had to drag the poor little guy all the way up and over the limb and he plopped in the water and I landed him ;D
  21. Congratulations on having such a savvy father ;D
  22. If you insist on using live bait for bass, you might want to invest in some circle hooks and research their proper use. A hook set is not required and it is nearly impossible for the bass to swallow it. Congratulations. That must be one tough fish.
