Well, arrived in FL last night and got word that my reel arrived. It's sitting at my bar at home, waiting.....

Went to Charlies on the Island for dinner last night. Good place and great stone crab. I thnk we'll try Buccan this evening. Weather looks iffy, let's see how things go this weekend. Flying in yesterday morning I couldn't get over how much water there is here.

Funny I was just discussing this trip with Martha. The rest of the year looks pretty lean for us. I am concerned about safety, but it seems that all nas worked out well for those that have made the trip. Anyone interested in a trip in the coming weeks?

So my gear is packed and we're leaving this evening on a redeye. I'm looking forward to this trip! I packed light and am only taking 10 rods.

lol. I quite facebook some time ago. It's more hassle than it's worth.

I have a couple high end Dobyns rods and never use them. Steez rods are great rods for the money, recently I realized they went up in price alot. Same rod, but I think the exchange rate had something to do with it. There's just something special about the Megabass and Evergreen rods that I can't put my finger on. Same goes for Gan Craft, I have the 'Junk' and use it quite often. US rods just don't excite me that much. Unless it's my one of one Frankenrod, custom built with a GLoomis GLX blank and Megabass components including the Slant Bridge.

Not sure yet. Maybe my Evergreen Temujin Amazon Fliip. I wish Megabass made the Black Jungle in a slant bridge. That would be tops!

We'll all find out in a week or so when it arrives...

Here you go. Oh...almost forgot about this one. Awesome little reel. I'ZE 103 Light, with upgraded drag, bearings and carbon handle. Pairs beautifully with my 1st generation Diablo SB.

I don't have a rod for this reel yet. Looking for the right match up. They make a Black Jungle series that may be the ticket. For now, this reel makes a great paper weight.
