Which Daiwa would you recommend
I agree with @WRB. No reel is backlash free. I have Shimano 70's and 200's, but in June I bought a tat sv. Since then I have had 2 backlashes. My first cast with it and when I caught my back seat while casting it?. This is by far the best reel I own

Blue top batteries
I've been doing a little research on these batteries, trying to find the right ones. I'm wondering if I should just deal with an agm battery(size wise) ? they seem to have a better rc and ah. The only reason I was looking at the blue top battery, was because it was getting to be a hassle getting the wet cell batteries out to check the water levels every few week. am I correct in thinking, that they are maintenance free and will my Norco 4 bank charger able to charge a agm battery?

Blue top batteries
I have an electric only boat. The bow mount trolling motor is a 24volt and those are the batteries I want to replace for now. The area that the 2 batteries are stored in is a very tight fit and I want the blue top batteries for more accessibility

E6x or Bass X
Im not worried about distance. The issues I have with the rod is it feels stiff and because it doesn't load up, I tend to cast a little to the right. I don't hate the rod, it's just not one of my favorites.

E6x or Bass X
I only noticed it when I roll cast. When I pitch, I have my spool tension and breaks turned down, so I really didn't notice it then. And let's face it most of the time most people over head cast, you can't see if your rod tip is loading up. What Mlbassyaker said makes sense. Like I said it does feel stiff. Are St Croix rods a little heavier in the action that is labeled?

E6x or Bass X
I was throwing plastics, with a 3/16 weight and 12 lbs fluro. I really liked the feel of the rod at Cabela's, so I bought it on a whim. I liked it for pitching smaller plastics ( creature baits), but whenever I would is a roll cast I continued to cast a little to my right. At first I thought it was just me, but after a while I noticed that when I cast it was not loading up. I don't hate the rod, but I would take my cheap b_out rod any day over it. I used my buddies avid and loved it. The bass x just seemed very stiff for a med fast rod

7' Medium fast casting.

E6x or Bass X
I bought a bass x about a month ago. Very disappointed it feels stiff and does not load up well on a cast. I actually really don't use it much anymore. It's actually a backup rod behind my b out rod. I don't know anything about Loomis rods, but I know I wouldn't buy another bass x

Daiwa Tatula SV or Curado 70
I have both reals and love them both, but for different applications. I would pitch the 70 all day long over the sv, but when it comes to finesse baits I couldn't see myself using anything but the sv.

Which Rod
I have a 7'6 MH/F , it works well in any type of weeds. Like you I prefer a 6'9 is rod. My regret is I wish I would have gotten a shorter rod

What to throw
I just fished a lake, where there were hundreds of bluegill feeding on the surface. It was around 4:00 pm and the water visibility was about 1 to 2 feet deep

High End Baitcasters

Charging battery without unplugging trolling motor
I took the head off my tm and took jumper cables to the pos and neg with a 12v battery. if the prop turns more than likely you have a fried board. not sure if it was the right way to do it, but it diagnosed my problem

Humminbird mega questions
No expert, but here's what I know. You need to use a y cable at the end of your transducer cable and plug each end into your units. Both units need to be mega. A regular helix will not read off the mega transducer.

Anyone seeing changes in Cabelas stores that they've been to?
Okay, I hope l can help everyone out. Cabela's is not being taken over till October. This is a FACT! The complete take over will happen some time in the beginning of next year. JLM bought Cabela's for his son to run. No one at Cabela's seems to think that anything will be any different than before. Hope this helps

Shimano Curado 70/71 - Is It Worth It?
I've been punching/pitching weeds all summer. These reals seem like they were made for that!!! Been reeling in 2 lbs fish with 5 lbs of weeds and have not had any problems. I use 50 lbs smackdown braid. Love these reals

Trolling motor help
If u plan on going Mk to Mk or Mg to My I would invest in a universal TM bracket. I just had to replace my TM an it took me about a 1/2 to replace it. They are a little pricey ( 139$) but it is well worth it!

Fish Finder Power Cord too Short
If you have a local boat repair shop, you should go there and get marine grade wire, a 3 amp fuse, ring connectors ( for the battery terminal) and shrink tube. Being in a kayak the odds off the wire getting wet are huge. Marine grade wire will not corrode. Heck, you may even get them to put it together for you! Make it bomb proof. He worked hard for it!

BPS and Daiwa???
I live near Cabela's and the deal is going through. It's starting in October and will be finished some time next year
