  1. Yeah @hawgenvy don't think just get out as soon as you can no matter you are in zone a b or c.
  2. Yup that what my concern too, what I've heard that only lake with stock trout regularly get very big
  3. Seem like this chart is very favor to jig and crankbait, this is bad for me since I hardly fish with both. Oh well, I go back to my soft jerkbait where in spring and fall, I will twitch it fast and slow hoping a long bottom in summer.
  4. This past spring I only caught two bass on hudd68, they both were in 3lbs range. After talking with a marine patrol guy, I found out that this lake never stick trout whatsoever such a bummer.
  5. About this drain plug forgetting thing. A buddy of mine who taught me all about boating and the first thing he told me is not to forget the plug. He also told the story he once forgot to put the plug on his dad boat. You know what, he forgot to put the plug on my boat twice lucky we only half way into water when he remembered.

  7. With 3/0 EWG hook, you can fish Fluke style bait and Fat ika or other soft plastic swimbait. I like Fluke style bait myself and always have one tie on when I'm on kayak. With Fluke you can fish, top water, sub surface, water column and bottom hopping.
  8. Before I would say spring, but I get pretty good bites in the fall too. This coming spring I plan to target pre-spawn bass with big swimbait earlier up until Feb and then skip to hunt Crappies instead (if I know how and where by that time). It might not be a good spring for me next year.
  9. Why matter, it just a reel and a rod? If you like shimano reel and daiwa rod I say go for it.
  10. I lost 2 jitterbugs this year, solid black and joint frog. Bought 3" version and a 3 packs 2.5" to replace but I feel the weight and action is not the same. I think the hooks on newer ones are smaller.
  11. As long as it fast to load, I don't mind the new look. I will still use file attachments here for one quick photo here and there but will start using more of Facebook link.
  12. For your MBR rod I think the best suit would be shimano Aldebaran 50.
  13. Anytime Ktho, anytime you wanna come here and fish just drop me a line.
  14. Congrat man, you deserved it. Take it easy with your new reel, make sure to set everything properly. I wouldn't use chatterbait as your practice, may be some 1/2 bullet weight would be better. Another thing don't think to get a mile cast at first, try to get a feeling of baitcasting and educate your thumb.
  15. I was thinking this one is good for me and my wife. Lol. Actually she had mentioned about pedal boat before.
  16. Okay fine, I seted up GoPro on tripod in my Jon boat and within 5 mins it's gone.
  17. Glad you got your fall pattern already. This morning I went out fishing for a few hours at 6:00AM the temp was at 85 degree here. I only brought a bag of mix Fluke and one rod-reel, caught only 3 dinks.
  18. Try that with Zman TRD or turbo craw, you will be surprise.
  19. OC is right. I used to go out with both type and I hate those of party boat, too many ppl and most of them tried to make their money worth. I'd rather spent more money for private party boat with limited seat. The tackle shop, I used to shop, always set up a few trip per year for their customers.
  20. Something that move and small enough to be eaten? Like Andrew Zimmern said" if it looks good eat it". ?
  21. Lenovo is okay but stay away from Asus. I don't recommended Mac at all, first of all it way over price and you don't need mac to do online class, in another word, you will be using only 20% worth of the price you play for Mac. I know it look cool to carry Mac around but that not worth a thousand you spent. I myself really want Mac since it will help a lot of my project, graphic and video editing but can't afford Mac myself. i use HP elite book 14" Pentium i5, light weight very poartable, battery life is acceptable no touch screen but with backlit keyboard. For online courses and some homework, you can get away with basic laptop nothing fancy, Pentium i3 or i5 should be enough, on board GPU should be just fine but try to find one with touch screen and backlit keyboard and 14 or 15". This should help when she needs to read and type at night.
  22. I'm very simple and work 6 days a week so my hobbies is really limited. #1 would be fishing 2-3 time a week 10-11 months of year. #2 motorcycle riding, I normally ride about 10,000 miles a year since I moved to canyon lake my mileage kinda go down. I ride only Friday or Saturday and hope to make 5,000 miles this year(so far only 3,000 miles) #3 wood working, some small project , not cabinetry. so far have not done any, I hope to have more time in winter to think of something to do.
  23. Sometime you just can't avoid it unless you know where the big girls at. Like right now my lake is full with juvenile bass 5-7 inches. They are every where and attack everything. They are faster and more aggressive than bigger ones. For the past months, I've been catching them like no tomorrow. I will catch a few keepers in between but most of the time those dinks got to my lure first.
  24. Some how yes, some how no. I don't buy gear base on COLOR, with exceptional of this reel And this reel. because I love this.
  25. Hey, I had a d**n good time here too. I don't even remember how many fish we caught today. I know for sure I caught the most fish per trip up to date. You are welcome here anytime man, anytime. And thanks for putting me on those fish. It was not 6:1, remember you got them pretty good on that pop bait. I guesstimate total around 20? between both of us.
