  1. The kayak really help me not loosing too many lures. I alway throw into something either tree, brushes, grass and ever since I got kayak I lost maybe a few. They are good, a tad heavier than Original Chatterbait but color and quality is way better.
  2. Finally something for me to report. I got quite abit of adventure this morning. It was pretty cloudy with chance of drizzle today. I told myself it might be a good fishing day today so I went out to a park 1/4 mile from my house. I lost WP110 in first cast to grass, I told myself I can come back with my kayak to retrieve that lure so I broke the line. Switch to another rod. I got first bite from pretty good size bass on storm stick jerkbait with excitement of not catching anything bigger than 6-7 inches for the past 3 weeks I locked down my reel and there you go the bass and my lure was gone. Tried different jerkbait in hope of catching that same fish but end up lost that lure to the same grass as my WP110. Switch to Chatterbait from siebert in bluegill color swam on top of weed with in a couple cast got a decent size bass hookup and land him. Came back home to get a kayak and found out I lost my iPhone somewhere after taking picture with that bass. Drove back to the park with my kayak, found my iPhone on the ground and also got two of my lures back. Now time for me to go to bed.
  3. It might have a chance to survive for sure. I pulled out a hook for bass butt before. Removing a gutted hook got a chance of killing fish also. So I would say 50-50 or may be 40-60 in this case.
  4. I think you can fit maybe 20 bags or some on that box. I got my at academy $9.99 is pretty good deal. The box is heavy and taller than reg 3700.
  5. No not fix compartment it is 1 to 3 compartment, you can take that separation out. Why waterproof? You will store original seal bag of plastic in there anyway? I found that box is pretty heavy (I use that for my terminal tackle in original package)
  6. Plano 3741 deep waterproof?
  7. Yeah call daiwa. You might have to ship it on your expense but Daiwa most of the time will replace it no question ask. BTW is this reg tatula or tatula XT? I have heard a lot about broken tip on Daiwa rod especially xtra fast tip. I also got a broken tip daiwa tatula MH/F 6'10 myself, luckily Daiwa head quarter is in CA and not too far from me, I drove there show the rod and got a replacement same day. That is a good fix if you don't want to wait or don't have warranty on the rod, but just replacing the tip would make the rod stiffer.
  8. I thought bending the tip will prevent chatterbait to rise, other word the chatterbait would stay contact with bottom or deeper longer?
  9. I still see it on my iphone.
  10. Congrats, she is a keeper.
  11. Thanks, a lot of help there. So my new rod 1/8-1/4 oz is good for 1/4-3/8, I guess. Next time gonna try my Lite power rod with HJ08.
  12. Thanks just order a pair of GG sun protect to try them on.
  13. Thanks, That might answer it. It feels like Pong Magic get more load on my rod than Husky Jerk so I suspect it is heavier than 3/16.
  14. This is kind of weird but I need your help since I do not have any good scale. can any body give me an actual weight on Rapala Husky Jerk size 08 and Booyah Pond Magic spinner. From spec HJ08 supposed to weight 1/4 oz and Pond Magic 3/16 oz. I got a new rod for this lure weight which is MF 1/8-1/4. I can launch Pong Magic pretty good distance 30-40yds but with HJ08 I got only 40-50 feet. The reel in question is Daiwa Alphas SV105 which recently I cleaned and found struck inductor in high position. Thanks guy.
  15. Good morning from CA too none hit WP110, but got two dinks on husky jerk. I was there just to get some morning picture so I fish to abit to kill time.
  16. Just this morning, I stopped by my lake and saw an old couple fishing for Shad. I talked to them abit and they said, they alway use shad for everything from catfish to crappies to bass. They said they've been catching bass everyday 10-15 bass a day up to 4-5lbs. The biggest they caught was 12lbs. In the mean time, I've been catching bass too but most of them were 5-6" dinks, go figure. Another thing, the guys said, bass fishermen are now into those of fishing tournament world with fancy lures. Fishing is fishing doesn't matter sport or recreation so why matter what type of bait to use. He even mentioned that he talked to some biologists and claimed that our lake is over populated with bass but he is afraid to talk to all bass fishingmen about keeping bass under 2-3 lbs.
  17. Dropshot caught me the most fish, but I refuse to use it this year or even next year unless bite get really tough and if I wanna hold some bass really bad.
  18. It happens man it happens. I just got Skunked yesterday meanwhile a young friend of mine who never catch any bass before and wanna learn, caught 3 all on Senko.
  19. I wanna add another excitement, when I caught fish with lure that never caught fish before. This year I scored two on Hudd 68, a few on true Ned rig. And I still have a whole bunch of lures in my tackle bag, fish-less, like square bill, lipless crank hudd shad, salvage gear trout and bluegill.
  20. I remember, I got a pretty good bites in September especially in early morning last year. I plan to fish more aggressively this year with big swimbait, Fluke, jerkbait and will mix in jig'n'craw from time to time.
  21. I don't like curado 70 for light weight stuff. The lightest would be 1/15 jig head plus TRD. I find that with that light weight on curado I always get some over run. If I do bomb cast I don't really have problem only when pitch or short cast. It might be that my rod 1/8-3/8 lure weight is still too stiff. For light weight I always turn to daiwa sv105. I can cast weightless 4-5" roboworm with this reel no problem. It is not just the reel also rod is important for light weight stuff, I just got myself some Light BFS and ML 1/8-1/4oz lure weight.
  22. This ^^^ can't beat that. And this ^^^
  23. How and where are you gonna clip dropshot weight on the line? I can see some weakness on the line where you clip dropshot weight especially with bigger line diameter.
  24. I might try that after I'm done with my P-line Duo snap. I had Duo Snap unclip itself a few times, last time it happened I lost my pointer 100.
  25. There are quite a bit of thread about whopper plopper on this forum. This thread just recently. Read in this pros and cons. There are 90, 110, 130 and I believe 190. Each has different advantages and different requirements mostly about equipment.
