20/30lb Test Braid Vs 40/50/65lb Test
I’ll bet, if you lower the line diameter to 8-15lb braid, 8-10lb leader or no leader at all. You will even catch more fish or at least you know and feel more what your lures are doing under water.

Where to find handle size for Shimano casting reels?
Some are picky than others, I guess. I don’t really care much about handle size or knob per se. But when it come to my lefties I have to have 90mm handle to be able to crank smoothly.

Plat.co
I only ordered a few times from Plat, despite of being long holiday and if memory serve me correctly. I had to log in to see order history and the shipping cost / whole invoice already there for me to hit pay. The email might gone to junk mail box I’m not sure.

Abu Garcia REVO MGX baitcaster
Drag capacity is one thing but more important that I won’t use MGX2 for frog is aluminum main gear.

Where to find handle size for Shimano casting reels?
I’m not sure if handle length matter when considering buying a reel, but if you specific model some of us might be able to tell you. Also there plenty of handle length either from Shimano or third party (carbon fiber handle) that you can upgrade with not much more. Most of Shimano reel start with 84mm handle, then some newer like K or SLX come with 90mm and if XG model get even longer 96mm handle. Most if not all Shimano handle are interchangeable in between each model and can be find easily.

Bass and Carp
Smallest carp about 8lb I ever caught on bass lure. I thought I was on something good, it pull drag and stop unlike those 20lb carp that never stop. Took me about a couple minutes if it were bass I would have land in 30 second.

Cast a Dropshot and Retrieve Horizontally Line & Hook Set Up ?
I used to fish dropshot from bank a lot, and it worked really well in small community pond. Now I fish 400 acres lake, and dropshot become less effective compare to others unless I know for sure fish hanging/roaming around the area like weed or baitfish. My usual setup, casting 6-8lb Copolymer, #2 ewg hook or #1 rebarb roboworm hook for weedless/snagged less. I use braid with leader sometimes around thick weed but that is my last resource.

BFS Spool for Daiwa SV 103 Reel
For true light weight lure and if I have a choice I would prefer to use free floating spool with no shaft from Daiwa. The shafted spool is not that bad but a little bit of debris, oil or grease between shaft and pinion would restrict spin rate. Even though Shimano come up with shaft bearing support(more spool stability when heavy loaded) but still to get good distance, I would to free it up more and thus compromise with control. If I have to choose between Tatula and SV 103, I would rather use SV103. Why I have pixy, alphas and SS SV and zillion with Ray’s spool. I do have some from Shimano (shafted) but use Daiwa more. Im not a true BFSer though don’t quote me on it. I just like to have option if I want to use smaller line or thin braid with bait caster.

Clear vs Green
Even though I caught plenty of bass with yellow/green monofilament but I have to be honest I’m less confident with them when compare with clear mono. The thing is the way I fish is very finesse to none movement at all. I only use color mono in smaller than 8lb. For moving bait I don’t care much of color of mono or even the lure itself. I believe bass see or feel vibration just the lure moving not line and lure as a whole. Now if you haven’t bought the line and have any doubt stay with the one you have confidence in. If you already have the line just use them and find out yourself.

Round swimbait reel
If you gonna get C4 I would say 5600 should be enough 6.3 gear 30 IPT. 6600 is just wider spool but same diameter. The only problem I don’t like Abu 5600 is level wind stay engaged at all time, might rob you some distance and a little bit more step to keep track. Better alternative would be Shimano Cardiff 300 or at the top of your budget Calcutta 300.

Took reel apart for maintenance, now drag isn't working
You said you assembled correctly but I still believed the keyed washer were not installed correctly as @FishTankmentioned at very beginning of the post. Check this picture and you would see correctly install of shaped “washers () or )(“

BFS Spool for Daiwa SV 103 Reel
This is what I’m afraid off and almost add into my very post “Tatula Sv103”. All the info above are not for your reel, they are for SV103 (old zillion body). You need the one with shaft. Now I think there are two Tatula SV the one with CT frame and smaller one with Tatula 100 frame. I’m not even sure if the spool in interchangeable.

BFS Spool for Daiwa SV 103 Reel
I guess eBay might be your best bet here unless you wanna try Roro where you can order direct from Manufacture. Ebay products such as SDS custom might not be the original Ray’s but at this price point I doubt the quality gonna be that much difference. They might as well came from same factory in China. What do you want is 34mm spool with no shaft and that is it. One thing about super light weight spool though, in my experience light weight spool doesn’t like too heavy weight lure. You might get hiccups distance when using lure 3/8oz or up. Another thing to concern, to get as light as possible, manufacturer has to reduce material some how to get it as thin as possible and still able to hold up. I’m not sure if I like that idea for my 4-5lb bass.

BFS Spool for Daiwa SV 103 Reel
For 34mm spool (Daiwa SS SV, Zillion SV TW), I use Ray’s Studio shallow spool. There are other options out there some with fix inductor some very expensive and hard to find and some is super light weight. The Ray’s spool is actually SV brake system same as other SV reels which make it easier to dial in. Another one that pretty hot right now is Roro bfs spool. Ray’s spool is in the market for quite some times, it is not the lightest spool and might not be able to handle lightest lure. To me it is best for 3-4 grams and above. If you want other opinion @bulldog1935using 34mm Roro spool with his Daiwa.

Private Lakes - DNR Stocked - Fishing Rights
I live in private lake as well, the last time POA stocked, bass bluegill and crappie using POA money (from home owner) by recommendation of those hungry bass club. On the other hand POA limited our shoreline fishing spot again by the bass club and the reason is for our safety.

If You Could Live Anywhere to Fish for Bass, Where Would it Be?
For bass, I would say I’m already here, right in the heart of SoCal, Canyon Lake. And yes I moved here just for Bass Fishing. For fishing in general and I might not even care for bass is Florida. The first target would me “The King” and I can spend all my life hunting for clown knife fish.

Bass and Carp
I don’t mind them and never plan to kill them either. If I didn’t fish for bass, crap might be my target. They fight way harder than bass lb to lb. We have plenty of carp big and small, but luckily our medium size lake still got plenty of room. A few spawn ago I saw male bass protect the nest while bigger female stay outside chasing big crap out. The big swimbait in crap pattern might work very well.

Curado 150 DC or 70 MGL for Jerkbaits
Old Curado 70 can handle everything from finesse to power. I use mind from Ned rig all the way to frog and 1oz topwater. Your 70MGL should be fine unless you want more line capacity. The 70 MGL even better than 70 for that it comes with main shaft support bearing, and MGL spool should be able to handle casting into wind better. On the other hand 150DC is not a bad reel either and should get the job done if you fish a lot in windy or bomb cast 1/2oz spinnerbait. The only drawback are weight and size, unless you don’t mind. I think you will get more distance from MGL than DC reel for those jerkbait.

Took reel apart for maintenance, now drag isn't working
I think these are pretty much 3 distinctive thing to tell them apart. —-If you pull line out while drag lock down—- drag slip, line start coming out while spool stationary (not moving) No drag pressure, line coming out while spool spin according to the line being pulled. AR clutch malfunction, line will come out just like free spool but with a short burst. I’m not expert and never fix reel just service my own reel once awhile. I do agree with the drag washer not in the right order or too much grease. Btw those three are pretty easy fix once you know what is the source of problem.

Took reel apart for maintenance, now drag isn't working
I use Shimano drag grease for gear all the time with no problem.

We don't want MORE FISHERMAN
May be because you are in the worst location for fishing sport. There are not many lakes and not a lot of fish in the lake but a ton of fisherman. There are quite a number of cultures that fish to eat not for sport in SoCal. And since not many places for them to fish and worst of all not many fish, these people willing to catch and keep as many as they can doesn’t matter size, limit law or what kind of fish, to worth their licensing fee and time spent.

Anyone Super Type-A Like Me and Keep a Spreadsheet With Types of Lures and Fish Caught?
I’m pretty much type Z too then lol. I have no time for that when I fish almost every day and catch fish most of the time. I do take picture of the fish with lure and setup which give me location, time of day and season. I mostly bank fish so depth is not my option but as far as I know what structure underneath is good enough. Most of my fishing journey is on IG and often times I would look back what I used last year and where I caught biggest fish. I only fish one small 400 acres lake so it easier for me to keep track.
