Help with line
Yeah we try to catch some shark out of bass gear lol. No wonder a lot complain of not feeling or detecting bite. Braid is not for everyone, most importantly not for everything. Imagine you cast 30-40lb braid 30 yds out and try to feel Senko bite. You think how much line is in the water.

How would you rig these?
I remembered why I got Brewer Slider head, to be able to use with 3” big bite bait craw. Not sure how long is Sqwormers (5”?) I think it might work well with slider jig head hoping around as well.

Help with line
Super easy then, 10-15lb PowerPro Super8Slick ii for spinning. 10lb zoyuri hybrid for bait caster and can double up as leader for your braid.

Help with line
Let me ask you this, why do you need braid and why do you need leader? You type of lure or technique? Your location, cover, structure? I think to answer your question, you should be the one to answer it the best. Regarding to brand, everyone has their own favorite brands, you would get 100 brands to choose from. Pick whatever you can afford comfortably and wildly available PowerPro, Sufix 832 is a trust brand for braid. Leader either mono/copolymer/FC you will have 1000s to choose from. I use whatever I have for my main line. You don’t need 30lb braid to land good size bass. 6-12lb Mono/copolymer is suffice in most case. Everything has it advantages and flaws. For all around setup I still believe in mono/copolymer the best.

Help with line
Braid is thinner line compare to mono/FC lb to lb. 30lb braid diameter is about 8-10lb mono/FC. Braid will help with distance a lot if you compare 30lb braid with 20-30lb mono, but not much if compare same diameter. Braid doesn’t coil up under spool so it will flow out better than mono/FC.

Help with line
Ideally for spinning braid anything from 10-20lb braid, baitcaster 20-50lb braid. Braid on spinning will help or hide line twisted problem and with thinner line than mono will cast further. Also with nature of spinning one shouldn’t use too stiff or too big of line on spinning (<10lb Mono/FC line) Braid on baitcaster is not really matter as much. Some prefer braid for no stretch (better sensitivity) or for buoyancy for top water. Braid also help cutting vegetation better than mono so why ppl fishing with Frog mostly use braid. But one thing which not a lot of ppl mention, too big of braid meaning more line floating in water and with little of slack line you won’t feel a d**n thing with braid. Leader either fluorocarbon or mono, help with abrasions on rocky bottom which braid lack of. Some use leader because they believe that fish can see braid but less with FC/Mono. Some use leader as shock absorption since there is no stretch on braid (I’m not sure that 1-2 feet of leader would help that much) Now I have all spinning with braid 10lb. Sometime with leader and often time not. I use short leader mostly for abrasions resistance and sometimes long leader 8-15’ with fluorocarbon for sink rate and help with line bowl in water. On my baitcaster (for bass) I only have one setup 30lb braid that I use mostly for jig, frog and other topwater. I don’t use leader with this setup.

How would you rig these?
this is look similar to Zoom Critter craw. They way it is on the jig look pretty good or just plain Texas rig.

Any disadvantages to my barrel snap swivel setup?
This is snap I use for crappie mostly size #00, bass size #2.

Hi Vis Braid for Finesse
Seaguar smackdown? 10lb Seaguar is only .128mm diameter 10lb Sufix 832 is .20mm I have used quite a few different color, white red blue yellow and chartreuse PowerPro and Sufix832. Yellow seem to be the best. I also just got a new hi-vis copolymer line to try out, Izorline Platinum 6lb. I might put that on one of my spinning soon.

Owner Ultrahead
I used to buy a pack to drag worm or craw especially in weedy area. I can super glue plastic to head and it would stay on hook better. Nowadays I just go KISS with just bullet weight with my preferred hook.

Best use for 6'8" med/XF casting rod?
MXF mojobass 1/4-5/8 should work fine for what you listed. I prefer XF for jig to get a good hookset. (Finesse jig 1/4oz and lower)

There are tool sold for that. or you do it yourself with 3/4” wood dowel plus this https://www.amazon.com/Greatfishing-Fishing-Bulding-Waterproof-Insulation/dp/B07H812BW4/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=rod+handle+wrap&qid=1588025324&sr=8-2 And yes I got cut with braid multiple times either trying to pull leader knot or un snag my lures.

Shallow Water Drop Shot ?
No I don’t always use this type hook. I use whatever I have on hand EWG, Worm hook, or roboworm rebarb hook. This CPS hook, plastic might last a little bit longer but not always.

How to fish a Slug-Go
Thanks Glenn. I have a few bag of 9” ones tried a few times but never caught any bass with it. I might fish it too much like Magnum Fluke. I might try it again soon if I can find any weed around.

Equipment Recommendations - Oregon Bass/Trout Fishing
I hate to agree with this ^^^^ but he is right. I think you should concentrate more on Technique than new setup. There are plenty that you can learn and fit to your gear.

Shallow Water Drop Shot ?
I like Light Texas rig, Neko rig and weightless worm if no wind for shallow water. Like @Bluebasser86ill do dropshot if I have specific area where I know bass would hold, like in front of tunnels, hole between weed bed. My last 3 bass caught on this 1/16oz Texas rig with Zoom 6” dead ringer.

Stay at home, quarantine day. My first day of not fishing all day, since stay at home order.

Any disadvantages to my barrel snap swivel setup?
Same as two above mentioned. If crappie bite your lure why not bass. The two already give you a very good suggestions there about suspended jerkbait and snap no swivel. “The disadvantages of snap” yes there are but not so much with moving bait type. The snap add bulky look to you lure (snap to hook) and easier to get snagged with weed on rock. Should appropriate size of snap/clip (no swivel). I have used snap with success on both bass and crappie.

Vmc half moon neko weights breaking
Another reason I don’t use nail weight for Neko Rig. I use crappie ball jig head, no glue needed, super cheap. I bend hook point in a little and clip off the eye for line tie. This is my favorite Neko worm, Zman ZinkerZ which hard to work with any nail weight.

Need recommendations
Did you get a hang on your DC reel? Did you change any setting (spool tension and brake setting) after I set it for you? You should borrow your son the K and try it out. Set 4 brakes on inside and outside dial to 3 start from there, remember lighter lure you need to set dial higher, heavier lure you can go all the way down to 1. If you still like the DC setting, no mess no fuss, I don’t see no reason to change, get another DC reel, either one is fine. For rod, I would look for MH Fast action. If you gonna spend money on Curado, I like Zodias better. Another option is Daiwa Tatula 6’10 MH/F is my all purpose rod from Senko, chatterbait all the way to 1oz topwater lure. For inshore ocean fishing, I recommend reel with bait clicker like Abu 6500c3, Komodo 364, Daiwa Lexa 300CC, when you bait and wait (using live bait or cut bait). Only use bass gear when you fish with jig.

Hook color
It doesn’t make any different at all but it look cool lol. BTW all my 2/0 hook is red 1/0 and 4/0 are nickel black, and it will stay this way as long as I can find 2/0 in red.

My Recent Experience With Shimano/G. Loomis Warranty Service
Same as you I shipped my rod out (Crucial Gen 1 dropshot) on Monday, no call no nothing just printed out warranty, fill in the form. Yesterday I got an email saying they will send me a curado 610MX Shakey. This is second time I’ve used warranty on crucial (limited lifetime warranty). I might not be happy with curado compare to crucial, but at least Shimano always makes thing right. Lucky me that I still have 4 crucial left.
