03 December 2016 ~ Blade Bait Smallies
Nice fish, thanks for the report and videos. I'm anxiously waiting for those conditions down this way. We are still in the transition phase and the fish are scattered everywhere. Winter time is the best time in my neck of the woods but it's only winter from mid feb to mid march haha

Is it Possible.
I don't know, alligators taste pretty declicous. I support them eating anything with the exception of pets or people so I can, in turn, eat them hahahah

The Last Hurrah
Awesome day, I have been fishing for 30 yrs and have never put together a limit over 12-13 or so lbs. much less have any others to cull. And I live where bass get a lot bigger!!! After joining this website I've learned that all the good fishing is apparently way up north!!

Last fish of the year got some revenge on me
That's a big bass to boat flip on spinning gear! Then again I use cheap rods
-
Winter bass
I was about to say I would much rather fish in the winter than I would in the spring fall or summer. Roadwarrior just gave an example why.

Finally...Fingers crossed
Good luck, they are chomping on Norris. Lots of folks still getting them on top

We have quit watching football in my fair state....... sad face......

Do mullet affect bass fishing?
A little of topic but I cleaned and cooked a mullet once. It was bad. I feel like I had some at a restaurant once that were deep fried and pretty good. The one I caught was striped and nasty flavored

Sunday smallie
Yea we are all good in Knoxville, prayers go out to the victims. Somehow last nights tornados put a lot of the fires out. check that, the news is now saying 8 new fires started overnight. It's currently pouring everywhere but still windy

How many days have you been out fishing this year?
Every darn day I had the opportunity. Way too many to count

Lure restocking
Strike king bitsy tube and zoom fat Albert. 1/8 oz jig head for both. Cheap jighead because you will loose a lot. That is about all you will ever need

Sunday smallie
Only got a few fish today but one of them was a nice one, 20-20.5 inches but pretty skinny . caught it with a tube jig on Norris lake, water temp just below 62.

Ever fish millers ferry?

Moving Baits
I know some guys that swear by super high speed reels even for deep cranks, where traditionally you would use a 5.3:1 "winch" type reel. I'm not proficient with cranks except when trolling with the outboard (2.5 mph) but the good crankbait guys that I know say to burn them unless water temps are below 44-45

Find the baitfish----->find the bass (deeper water)
Couldn't agree more. In the Tennessee River you can walk across Shad year 'round. Everyone says "find the bait and you found the bass" but the entire River is bait so no kidding...... The bass are in the river.........

A bite on that rig is uncommon for me. I gave up after donating a few to the bottom of the river. I know it catches fish but it's not for poor folk. Especially when you spend all the money and don't get a bite. Then cast a rattle trap and catch one in the first 5 minutes

Black Friday Fishing
Let us know how it goes on Norris. I'm holding out until water temps drop a little there but I'm getting anxious

Fishing logjams
Some guys ease into places like that in inner tubes with a long rod and no reel. Strap some super stout braid and a jig or Texas rig on it and just dip it into the gaps in the logs. Work the area super slowly and deliberately, you may not get a ton of bites but the biggest fish in the area will be buried in all that mess

Ontario Fishing Lodge Help
You could buy a fairly nice boat for that price!! Sorry I can't recommend anything up that way, when is spring in Ontario? August? Ha ha

New PB!!!
Most excellent of bucketmouths, thanks for the pics and congrats

Watauga Lake (TN)
Thanks for the follow up, the wind is brutal up there. Those steep banks are my favorite, just let the lure crawl down the rock face and watch the line carefully. If it stops it's not because it hit the bottom!!!

Only soft plastics?
I would be happy if I could only fish soft plastics for the rest of my life. That being said I love fishing a swim jig, I usually just put a grub on the back and drag it through grass or along the bottom. You most likely just have more confidence in the drop shot than anything else (can't blame you) and therefore catch more fish with it. Crankbait I can't help you much other than reel it fast and erratically and bang it into things

That does appear to be a bad call but it is also hard to win when you score 0 points
