  1. The pats? wTH?
  2. I’ll fish saltwater if I have to but I’d rather be in freshwater every time
  3. Always have a pocket knife that opens with one hand
  4. The Alabama bass were supposed to kill all other bass and all first born children here, I rarely catch any alabamas .
  5. Seems as tho the late great Catt said “blackened means burnt” 😂
  6. An unplanned evening trip turned productive! I’ve never caught this many sauger in this short amount of time , maybe it’s a good sign for the population, but then again im thrilled to reduce their population 😂 . Got one about 19” and another 16.5 “. Then I got a bonus 12.5” yellow perch, does that qualify as jumbo ?
  7. Great trip @Swamp Girl! You know me, I like to see the smallie mixed in
  8. @GreenPig, I think you could hit 150 mph with that on your 14’ 😂
  9. I fish right near my house no matter what time of year it is
  10. I can’t fish with well with gloves on so I just don’t go if it’s cold enough to freeze the guides . If it’s 28-29 degrees I can still fish, just take breaks and put my hands in my pockets. I have had decent luck with fingerless gloves that have mittens that fold over but still makes it tricky to feel the “tick” of a bite

  12. Hey watch it mister, I resemble that remark 😂
  13. Went paddling after work, the fish were surely hungry. Caught 3 small LM right next to the car on the exact same spot where a log was sticking up out off the bank a ways in deeper water. A small diving duck was witness to those catches The mountains were really showing off, it was clear enough to see each little drain on the mountain sides once I made it out into the current , the smallies were chomping a finesse worm. The river channel makes an S turn and it’s 50+ feet deep and faster than the surrounding areas, perfect for SMB. Ended up with 7 fish in probably 1.5 hours, that’s a good bite for ‘round here (no sign of the invasive Alabama bass that were supposedly going to kill everything)
  14. Nice work good sir. I actually did some push ups and paddled 4 miles yesterday, I typically get enough exercise at work and outside after work in summer but days are getting shorter and I get bored in the dark haha. Grass is getting crispy and pushing a 20” lawnmower is my normal workout
  15. That’s weird, our fish have all of a sudden started biting very well. Granted, no natural lakes here, so maybe just a different ballgame but you still won!
  16. Seems like somewhere in Michigan got snow on sept 5 this year, broke some record
