Sorry to hear that Tom, we are praying for yall
  2. Seems like Buffalo has done a successful tush push a couple weeks in a row now
  3. This is the second week in a row I’ve listened to the international game, the crowds are huge and really get into the action. Think they had 74k last week and 76k this week, those are good numbers for NFL
  4. @Swamp Girl, we have always called that spot big shoal but apparently it’s good for big striper, a friend of mine that has fished there for decades calls it the “striper hole”
  5. I also fished a golf course pond growing up that was all bass and one week we caught two giant crappie. Then never again
  6. There’s a quarry behind my house that I have fished for 4-5 years. I have always caught only 9-12” largemouth in there. My buddy was with me one day and hollered across the pond that he had caught a crappie. Then he caught another one. Those were the only two crappie I’ve ever seen/heard coming from there so you’re neighbor might not be crazy
  7. 😂, sorry that’s pretty funny. my buddy was swatting at horsefly once and knocked his glasses in the water. He jumped in after them but couldn’t get them. When he hoisted himself back into the canoe, the tilt caused his handheld GPS to slide off a cooler and into the water 😂 😂 I was like “why you need GPS, we can only go down river?” you should return to the pond and dredge up your rod, many people have success doing so . But right when it sank would have been your best shot
  8. Brief trip in the canoe after work, got 5-6. Yellow perch white bass and yellow bass. As I was taking a photo of one of the white bass, I laid my rod across my lap. Apparently my jig was dangling in the water over the side because the rod bent and there was a yellow bass on the line 😂
  9. Brought to you by draft kings and fan duel
  10. My truck has manual transmission, manual windows and manual door locks. And TWO DOORS! Man I love that thing
  11. @HawkeyeSmallie We have “wild” rainbows and browns that reproduce naturally but they are not native. They were the ones stocked back in the railroad days of the late 1800s. Then we have sterile (triploid) stocked trout of modern day that maybe 1 in 1000 reproduce. The native southern Appalachian brook trout are ancient and have been threatened but are still kicking high in the mountains .
  12. Eh, my mom taught me right from wrong and I’ve still done plenty wrong when I knew better
  13. My wife thinks they are, I think they are stockers haha. Both exist where we were
  14. I bet nobody guessed the southern border of TN was the coldest place in the contiguous United States on Tuesday. It was 3 degrees with windchills as low as -20. 7.5 inches of snow
  15. Danny jones be fumbling
  16. Push button ignition, auto head lights, LED anything, TPMS, rear hatchback/liftgate that open with a button instead of a door handle
  17. @MN Fisher, my wife saw the aurora last night too. I don’t get out of bed for it anymore, only cameras or camera phones can see it
  18. Did a trout trip up in the mtns with my wife and a friend yesterday, think we got 8-9 rainbows. It was pretty with some leftover snow from Monday. The 3 that I caught were with 3 different rods/reels . 2 on flies (one rubber legs, one egg pattern) and one with a helgrammite in-line spinner
  19. Went in the snow yesterday but I think it was above freezing by the time we got way up in the mtns . There were icicles, but it was warm in waders and the trout were biting
  20. Got a nice smallie down there the other day
