  1. If you ain’t yakkin’ you’re slackin’ Yesterday I had my boat hooked up to my truck and charged batteries, ready to go. I opted for the canoe for some exercise and was rewarded with a 21.5” SMB.

Our janitors get stuck in the elevators at work ALL THE TIME
  3. December and September are always the best for SMB ! i used to get the week between Christmas and new years off work and had some crazy good fishing excursions . I have to work now but still try for an hour after work or weekends days are getting longer now !
  4. Went canoeing today after chores, took a while but I got a 21.5” SMB!!! And of course a drum got em on spot lock the old fashioned way with this lure
  5. Lucky loon strikes again! Took my wife’s kayak down to the lakehouse but my buddies were already on the water testing out a new fancy trolling motor and just said to hop in their boat. They had already gotten one smallie prior to my arrival, an 18” er I jumped in and it was slow for maybe an hour but got a nice hit on a fluke/jighead, turned out to be an almost 20” SMB I then tried hopping a rattle bait deep on bottom and got a 13” crappie, he got barotrauma in the livewell so he now resides in my freezer The offshore bite got really slow so we hit the bank and Craig picked up a small one , but even that got slow. Tried offshore again but only caught a pretty sunset. Swung back by the house to snap a few pics for my construction advisory team of @Jigfishn10 and @Bird, here’s what it looks like standing under the deck
  6. @Jigfishn10 I keep my 2 motor boats in the driveway where we live in Knoxville, I’ll get ya a pic of deck underside later today. The 4 kayaks are all cheapo’s , $20-$30 dollar yard sale purchases. I love the blue one tho, it’s super fast to paddle between spots
  7. @Bird, that knowledge is exactly what I need! (With some supervision) Thanks!!! Always helps to talk to people that have done it before. I really like the looks of that kayak you sold, I’d like to have a premium yak but I can use my wife’s Jackson Liska when she’s not looking, it paddles and fishes like a dream, just heavy
  8. Figuratively I have! Literally I haven’t but I’d bet my cousin has. There is a season for hunting them, he said they are basically impossible to kill because they are so smart but I know he got one once
  9. ^hell yeah @Boomstick!
  10. I got the drywall hung up years ago when you were busting my chops but never finished it, it’s just one extra room so I close the door and try not to think about it 😂 The deck I need some guidance, I can do the work but there is no ledger board and sometimes I see water rolling back toward the house on the boards underneath. It has only done minimal damage over 35+ years but I’d rather do it right and I’m not sure what to attach the ledger board to. I’m guessing you bolt it to the floor trusses? The way they built it back in the day, the deck trusses go thru the wood siding and I imagine are attached to the floor trusses between the first and second floor. But back to kayaks, I have 4 of them laying down there next to the dock ready to go !!!!
  11. @Smirak, small world! The shop at my old job was in Hardin valley. My current boss lives in Hardin valley. You should have seen that area 15 yrs ago………. i have a house on a lake about 45 minutes from there ! I wasn’t really thinking about renting it but for a fisherman such as yourself I would! How are you at rebuilding a wooden deck from 1988 and finishing drywall?? 😂
  12. You need out of that silliness, I can rent ya a place!
  13. Mine only sings “take me to the river” 😂
  14. Looking like a fishy Christmas ‘round here
