I might make it! Got a buddy at work that mentioned it . I usually fish instead but weather may suck

Spent several hours in the kayak today, fun times. Slowish fishing but caught a variety , LM, SM, Spot or meanmouth, and a crappie. Got one on a worm and the rest on a zoom tiny fluke on 1-16 oz jighead

@12poundbass , I think you may have solved the mystery. Catfishermen are always posted up on a giant rock about 10 yards upstream and that barrel is underwater from may-November

Impromptu trip on the way home from work yesterday, that’s why I keep a kayak on the car at all times. Fun on 4 lb test and flemsy pole also saw this thing again, no clue what it is but it’s been there a few years

What are the dates for this excursion? Those striper can be fun in the spring time

Some pics from the weekend ……… Saturday was raining all morning and 60 degrees but got better by evening, hit a highland reservoir in a kayak my buddy is letting me borrow while he is gone for 6 months. Even found a spring clogged with mud and leaves that I set free Got home sopping wet so I started a fire Sunday was sunny and cold sunny and windy, maybe 35 degrees. Got a sauger and a catfish
