  2. Mmmmmm I knew that, I’ve seen good fellas…….
  3. Those things are ridiculous. I had like 300 of them spend the winter inbetween two metal layers of my grill lid
  4. “You’re in the jungle, baby!” I wire brushed my hitch receiver pin last night and it was like a cloud , I only take it out when I switch boats My poor propellers look like they have plowed rows of beans, we use this boat to got through rapids and jump small waterfalls
  5. My buddy from Memphis is coming into town this weekend to fish, we are going shallow!!! got the old long tail fired up wired up and ready to roll. river smallies beware
  6. I didn’t see it because I don’t like streaming live sports
  7. Tree, rock, dock, or grass
  8. Hahaha! Great answer Kind of like the last Hail Mary pass of the game, everyone is committing pass interference but they never call it. Nobody wants to see the game (or season) end on a penalty
  9. Looking good! Do you need me to loan you a brick to chock that wheel? Haha. You got $300 worth of lumber just to keep her from rolling…….. just messing with ya, for a 2005 that’s in excellent shape .
  10. My dogs would eat the eggs, the plate, and the tile if I gave them that scenario
  11. BASS dq’d trey swindle last weekend for not having proof of $300k insurance on his boat. No points no nothing MLF has proven they will bend the rules if need be over the years, I don’t think they wanted wheeler to lose AOY on a DQ it seems odd anyone would be allowed to use two rods at the same time in a fishing tournament to begin with. Kind of bush league
  12. In NW Ohio, it’s fish sandwich and a beer
  13. Park it out west in the desert for a few months. Or in the belly of a barn, that’s the driest place you can find in the eastern US. You can dig 20 feet down with a spoon
  14. Rule 1: don’t get hooked in the first place rule 2: emphasis on rule 1 when using trebles my buddy that I hooked in the back of the head with a treble hook rooster tail would get a kick out of reading this
  15. I’ve also banned myself from using that after my tangles
  16. Seems like a smoother bottom would make the boat a little quicker, just thinking out loud. I swam under and scrubbed the hull of a cruiser for one of my moms friend and she gained 5-7 mph . This is a boat that stays in the water though, stuff grows on them
  17. I’ve never understood how/why people do that, I would lose a rod! I’ve tossed at followers many times when two or three of us were in the boat, I can rarely get them to hit. I think it works better in super clear water

How do you find the time to work, spend time with your family, go fishing, and still be logged onto the website and patrol all the posts? It’s not too tricky, I’m addicted to fishing info and my phone is right there in my pocket 2. What is your fishing background/experience? I have been fishing as much as possible for as long as I can recall. I’m told I started around the age of 2. I fished a lot in “the creek” behind my grandmothers house as a youngster, we later learned it was actually the little Emory river. About the only fish living in that portion were creek chubs. I would fish 7-8 hours just to catch a handful of them, my family would have to pry me away from the creek bank. When we caught a bluegill, it was a trophy! I really got some serious bass fishing education somewhere around 7th grade when my buddy invited me on his family fishing trip in Alabama. They have been doing this for ever 50 years every Memorial Day week. A big tackle company even did a commercial about their trip starting yours truly! I have now gone on this annual fishing trip for about 25 or so years with them and wouldn’t miss it for the world. We camp on the river and fish hard the whole time. These guys taught me about buzzbaits, Texas rigged plastic worms, bush hog spinnerbaits (that part didn’t take but they slay with those things), hula poppers, shad raps, you name it. I knew how to fish a little before going on these trips, but these guys have basically taken me in as a family member and taught me how to fish. I have honed in some finesse stuff I like to do with 6 lb test up here in my clearer smallmouth waters, but they showed me all the basics down in the swamps of Alabama 3. What have been your best experiences when fishing? Hard to list them all! Fishing halibut off the bottom in 300 ft in Alaska, my annual camping trip I described above, fishing with my dad as a youngster, and of course any time a smallmouth hits a topwater 4. Give us a play by play of a typical, let's say, Tuesday for you? What time do you get up? Work? Fishing? Family? How do you relax at the end of a long day at work? Wake up around 6:30 or 7 and feed dogs. Make coffee, check fishing reports. Off to work at 8, usually home around 4:30 or 5. Then either do something with the wife and friends or hook up the boat and fish til dark. Now do that same for a Saturday? If I don’t have to work or have any other plans, I’m fishing at daylight. Saturdays in fall I can be found inside of neyland stadium as well 5. Do you guys rotate as to who needs to be on line at any given time? Or does everyone just look in whenever they get time. B. Final answer 6. What is your favorite besides bass? Do striped bass and white bass count? If not , then gar. I love gar fishing Fav hobbies other than fishing: Sports, hiking, paddling 10 People you respect and/or admire: family members Turn ons: Topwater bite, touchdown Tennessee, and some ice cold miller high life Turn offs: Traveling, not having enough time to fish, SEC teams other than TN Aspirations: Catch a 10 largemouth, 7 lb smallmouth, be a better husband, learn, the golden rule, etc Essay: What are some of the major factors that have affected your life? A brief history to help us understand the road you traveled to become the person you are today. Please include influences. My mother raised my brother and I for the most part as a single mom. My dad passed away in the early 90s and she was left to do it all, and she never missed a beat. She worked as a school teacher, always made us supper every night, took us fishing, to football games, etc. Most importantly she always taught us to love others, work hard, and the rest will work itself out. Simple, but effective strategy
  19. I’ve got too many favorites. But one of them involves fishing, so that wins. Bass fry
  20. So how were they using two lines? Dropping something at a fish that’s following another hooked fish?
  21. TnRiver46 replied to gim's topic in Everything Else
That’s how they roll in the Bahamas . Everyone is just driving around honking and smiling. I was jumping back 10 feet off the sidewalk everywhere we went
  22. My dog lot looks like a nuclear testing facility. I saw one of the dogs 90% underground one time
  23. Nice! She nailed the markings on the smallmouth cheek perfectly
