Yeah buddy! I don’t necessarily target smallmouth but they are what I usually catch . We have all 3 species overlapping everywhere Heck I’ve been throwing an 8” swimbait and I’ve had smallies and spots follow and bite, no largemouth yet

just kidding, mine are probably like 11.5 hahaha

Pellet flies, slap em down hard on the water and they go crazy. Also throwing a handful of rocks near any fly will send them into a frenzy

I forgot you live on a swamp island! mockingbirds do that here. They tell you in college that almost all birds go to sleep at night, but the real world begs to differ. I’ve seen blue herons hunting all night long, with some squaking
