  1. That is my experience. I thought I could locate fish by trolling and then go back in cast to them. They never hit anything I cast only a crank bait zipping by 2.5 miles an hour. It’s a reaction you can’t get by casting. Trolling can actually be pretty hectic, and I only Use one rod to do it. Casting is much much more relaxing and slow paced if trolling is boring, your plug isn’t going deep enough
  2. Sure looks like a 4 ish. You can also weigh a sack of sugar to check your scale
  3. Ha! I do think I have a photo of it…….. caught with a night crawler. Then I just kept slinging it out there seems to me like possessing live gobies means having a bucket full of them, not just one attached to a night crawler. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
  4. My dad was a civil engineer, he used to drive me around when it was storming to see which manhole covers had water shooting out of them when I was a little kid haha. That was before the internet
  5. You can also measure their length and get close. In TN river , 18” is usually 2.75-3 lbs. 4 lb is usually over 20” with a belly
  6. Is second place his brother?
  7. Nope, not even close. If you wanna make money in fishing, sell stuff to fishermen
  8. Congrats bob! I use post images.org
  9. They won’t do it, it seems the whole state of CA has moved to TN
  10. Yeah, I’d have to sit in a chair on the bank and at least watch a set line or something. I get angry if no fishing
  11. Or you might just poop
  12. Hmmm. I asked a dude fishing there if it was legal and he said yes because they were invasive. Good thing I didn’t get caught I guess. I didn’t possess but one live goby and it was on my hook
  13. @GreenPig Throws hay bales and 8 lb LM after boxing 12 rounds , he needs lots of energy
  14. Maybe that’s why readers digest has gone by the way side
  15. Blood pressure meds aren’t cheap
  16. Strike king bitsy flip
  17. I fished salmon and halibut out of homer in 2007. We trolled near the mouth of anchor river with frozen herring in the morning, like 3 o’clock in the morning, then went off shore and jigged vertically with a 16 oz jig head and massive curly tail grub for halibut. Halibut fight hard no matter what they tell you, I was nearly pulled over board by small ones . All the snow capped peaks you can see from the boat were active volcanos, pretty cool
  18. I’m an open truck bed kind of guy. I climb in and out of there several times a day my work truck has a camper shell tho, nice to keep tools dry
  19. I caught a goby in MI and tried it for live bait. Do others try that? Yikes
  20. I have ironically thrown my back out while sneezing
  21. Life is about how you treat other people, and you will be remembered for what you said so , what makes me tick is trying to be kind to others and have good conversations oh yeah and bass fishing
  22. Does a thermocline develop up there? That could eliminate a lot of deep water. I can catch smallies 50-70 feet deep in winter but I don’t think there’s much oxygen down there in summer
  23. I’ve seen your fish pictures, you don’t need any advice from me haha
