Kind of similar here. Deer and turkey are doing great. Grassland birds not so much (bobwhite, grasshopper sparrow, henslow’s sparrow, etc)

People always think we are losing the forest but really we lost the grasslands, just like you said .
  6. Love the feiderman!!!!
  7. Good luck. I never cracked that nut, I no longer try
  8. Solstice sunset
  9. I did the same thing. Used RH for years and accidentally bought a LH. Now I use both
  10. 36 degree water? Put a splash in your glass of scotch ! I’ve only fished water that cold once, I think we got a few dinks with blade baits. I tried to break skim ice with my buddies 12 foot flat bottom and a 6 hp Evinrude, that was pretty funny. Like driving into a brick wall
  11. Just got boostered at Walgreens, took half an hour. Easy peezy, didn’t even have an appt
  12. You can’t do nothin with them bayou bengals
  13. Spring time is for maintenance after a long winter of fishing hard! It’s about the only time of year my favorite ramps are packed and the twice a year crowd is always out in full force. but for baits, I’m always tossing a worm and tube, but a rattle trap can get some monsters in super early spring while the water is still cold. ps: don’t watch the news
  14. I don’t even use specific ones, just round ball
  15. A fine hound
  16. Don’t hop it and pop it around too much, just cast it, lift/drop and reel in fish. I just started using it and the fish love it
  17. Little pieces of bass candy
  18. I have 3 categories: flemsy, broomstick, and medium heavy. Im sure tactical could fit into one of those 3
  19. I went to a tackle shop the other day that had hundreds of bombers and bandits . All brand new though the deep walleye bomber lures caught my attention but I didn’t buy any. Some wild colors
  20. Haha! And that still only gets the top 10 or 20 feet of water ^best answer
  21. Excellent video. That’s pretty much how I fish all the time, not just winter. It makes sense as I believe Mr Neil and I both grew up fishing the same river
  22. Heck no, these are some nasty creatures. Skipjack herring, I’ve never heard of anyone attempting to eat one. But they are great bait. My wife caught a 36 striped bass with a dead one
