  1. that’s why you camp along the lake at the great Smoky Mountains national Park back country sites and either ride the ferry known as the Miss Hazel across to Fontana Dam where your second vehicle will be waiting. Or do you like my friends and tell me to have my bass boat sitting at camp with steaks and beer
  2. Gotcha. I’d be fishing the one all those river flow into! (St Lawrence)
  3. Well…… why not? Just curious. River smallies routinely reach 20” from NY to NC
  4. Brunswick is a good customer of ours
  5. We keep a big ole magnet on a stick at the shop (gravel parking lot). It’s crazy what all it picks up and we aren’t a big outfit (4 employees)
  6. Kind of similar to how their esox cousin the muskie aren’t boat shy
  7. Ok now that’s weird………. My work truck is the one that gets all the nails, my personal truck has had the same 4 tires for over a year and half (and the back two I bought used! Haha)
  8. they drain it 60 feet every year in fairly predictable fashion (it’s 400 feet deep so the fish won’t escape). If they didn’t lower Fontana and about 6-8 other lakes 30+ feet in winter, a lot of homes and businesses from Knoxville to Paducah Kentucky would be underwater (in the words of Denzel Washington in training day, this is chess it ain’t checkers). You can walk from clingmans dome to Fontana!
  9. They some swam OFT
  10. 1976 called, they said keep purple worms on the down low……..
  11. Do you have to fish the same pond all the time?
  12. I think you’ll have to keep it off bottom. I don’t use a “ned rig” proper but I put worms on jigheads. Also, I’ve probably not fished many ponds like the one you fish in, I thought I remembered you saying it was only 7 feet deep?? About the only pond I fish is a rock quarry that is “????” deep but worms on jigheads work well there. I imagine a pond only 7 feet deep is full on junk, if you insist on the ned you’ll have to swim it along constantly. I would just offerings that are more weedless, shakey head could possibly work but I would fish something like that with a weedless plastic worm without a sinker
  13. A sand bowl? I’m no help
  14. The most delicious kind of grape, a muscadine . Mmmmmmmmm
  15. Nah mike, it’s not an enemy. That means you work for a living!!! Same thing happens to me, it was crazy bad in 2011-2013. We had a wild hail storm that caused at least 90% of all homeowners to get a new roof. There were nails everywhere for years. My boss had to get a new tire last week for the same reason you mentioned. I’ve taken to just keeping a plug kit it my truck, it’s pretty easy
  16. I use old tennis shoes for serious wade fishing. My fiancé got me some Chacos for my birthday, they are alright but not at the ocean, not for serious wade fishing, and they smelled god awful after……. the very first time I used them. And I only wore them for like an hour and a half
  17. U2?????? Come on @DitchPanda, I thought we were friends……….. that’s dentist chair music, like fingernails on a chalkboard put this in your pipe and smoke it!!! ^10
  18. I’m looking to get a booster as soon as it’s available, got my 1 and 2 shots back in spring: Call me a sheep but it sure looks like the first vaccine was extremely effective, got a buddy or three in bad shape that wouldn’t take it
  19. This begs the question: “can I pet that daaaaawwwwggggg?”
  20. I’ve tried all kinds of jazz and 6# mono is my favorite. I quit buying 8# and just keep 6 on every spinning reel now
  21. I-26 indeed goes through JC
  22. I borrowed one of those during my transom repair, a very awesome and quite scary tool
  23. Ha!!!! My buddy from college ran Herbert holt park for the last 5 or 6 years, he just worked his last day Friday . He shows up in my fish pics on here a decent amount
  24. I was thinking that when you did the walk thru video of the trailer, rusted bolts seem bad, and then you try to remove them……….. sometimes I think they are stronger than new ones
