  1. I’ve eaten bass from 85-90 degree water in a southern Alabama swamp for 25 years, they are absolutely delicious. I even take them home and fry them for people, they usually say it’s the best fish they’ve ever had this one was 5 lbs even from there, very tasty and flaky, the opposite of mushy If you don’t believe it, try some. Perception does not equal reality
  2. All 3 taste the same. Do you think black crappie taste different that white crappie ? Does a sauger taste different than a walleye ? Same genus same flavor is a decent rule of thumb
  3. @king fisher, welcher got them all on a crush city bronco bug, monkey approved purchase
  4. Sending good thoughts and vibes northward to you and yours Ken.
  5. Same old story, I’m just not sure how many people move these fish. I think some of them expand their range on their own (and I also think their threat is severely overblown). But alas, I’m willing to kill and eat a blue million of them. Only problem is I only catch one or two a month, usually less
  6. Nice day! I wish our water would go back to 45 degrees but I’m going to have to wait several months if not years 😂
  7. @Swamp Girl, I used to guide a bunch of canoe trips (not fishing). We saw buffleheads one time and I pointed them out, the clients started laughing. They swore up and down I made the name up (no cell service for googling). They thought it was so hilarious that they said they would now change the name for “BS” in their everyday lives to bufflehead 😂
  8. If LMB is mushy something went wrong. Firm flaky white deliciousness if you labeled LMB as walleye, people would say it was wonderful. It’s all in your heads
  9. That’s the one!!!!
  10. Guess I was thinking of the old commercial for Coke or Pepsi, “blind” taste test
  11. Not nasty at all with cornmeal and veggie oil…,,
  12. Don’t trim if it’s a hair jig! That taper is what makes it fishy
  13. He despises them , and I think they know it! Every time we see one he says “stay away from me you *%#&@“ yet they still end up on his line. One week he caught one dragging a Texas rig and another with a 2 ft deep jerkbait over 25 ft of water
  14. Even crazier, my buddy Bobby always catches a turtle while fishing. He can’t help it
  15. Heck I’ve eaten their eggs……
  16. Is this how yall do it ?
  17. I’m the opposite of mainstream. I like floating around and catching nothing 😂
  18. I just want the fish to be off the beds! Spring is my least favorite time to fish for black bass
  19. Regardless of water temp (40 degrees, 80 degrees, anywhere inbetween), threadfin will always die quicker than gizzards in my buckets or livewell
  20. Love hartwell!!! Can’t wait
  21. Limit? Not sure I’ve ever used 10 😂
  22. My thumbs are totally safe and intact 😞
  23. How bout these crowds ? Sheesh it’s loud no matter who weighs in
  24. How bout McKinney seeing a bear up in a tree yesterday? I read on the internet that you wouldn’t be able to see that if you were “staring down at a screen all day” Feider saw a turkey and a deer moments later
