I’ve caught a whole lot of very nice smallies while trying to snag carp. Never saw the bass, just trying to drape a grub over a carps back and set the hook, bam! Smallmouth out of nowhere. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing

I’ll let ya know how I cull if I ever catch a limit…..

Fished is some off and on rain yesterday, got a nice LM, lots of white bass up to 16”. My buddy joined in after lunch for more white bass and I even got 4 catfish in a row on a 2” swimbait haha

The weights will (almost) certainly drop significantly when they go to nickajack, the only place anyone normally does damage there is right below chickamauga dam

Caught too many white bass and yellow bass to count, had a couple little SMB running interference as well

Pickwick is way harder than any small lake. Get below the dam, Wilson pickwick or wheeler. Throw a paddle tail long enough and you’ll be catching them

They aren’t very common here at home but in the Alabama River they will destroy a buzzbait. Pure violence
