  1. Well, since 99% of anglers are now throwing ned rigs most of the time, my regular ole plastic worms work much better. The fish forgot all about them
  2. This entire craze has cracked me up from the very beginning, I’ve still never purchased a single “ned rig,” neither the plastics nor the jigheads. Most fishermen have to have the latest releases, plenty of weekenders running $3k depth finders
  3. I’m sure you’ve probably already done this but here they are. Dayton is fairly close to sale creek, good little ways from chester frost/Dallas bay (Chester frost is directly across the river from Harrison bay state park) . I would guess Dayton to sale creek would be 15 minutes or less and Dayton to CF might be more like 30+ minutes. If the wind is blowing it will suck bad. Also if you run the lake any distance in winter, it’s very easy to run aground

You’re like me and take 75 lures on a 45 minute fishing trip??
  5. Holy moly !
  6. Congrats! The question on everyone’s mind is how much did it weigh?
  7. That boat should go about 30-35 mph maybe a tad more. If you want more speed you need more horses!
  8. One day I will go night fishing. I’ve tried many time and always fell asleep. We have a good shad spawn bite at night in spring time . It’s not exactly safe where I live but I know a few places without boat traffic. A good many bass fisherman have crashed and drowned at night in East TN

  10. I doubt bass would but blue catfish do
  11. Yeah that kind of sounds like a cursed middle ground.
  12. Well those last 3 you listed taste a lot better than Buffalo! I can see how they became picky but beggars can’t be choosers haha
  13. Gotcha. Yeah I always hit a dock with them and reel in splinters
  14. I’m guessing it looks a lot cooler than it feels
  15. I bet you didn’t have any issues in the post game parking lot rumbles either with him on your team !
  16. I’ve never had that happen, but bullfrog makes a fine meal if you ever want to turn that problem into a good evening
  17. Weekdays are now in play!!!!
  18. Wait, I break shad raps all the time. Do you have some made out of hardy plank that I don’t know about? Haha
  19. Euchre. Just the bower thing is confusing, concept wasn’t a good word choice Sometimes a jack changes suits?? Heck I can’t remember. The locals said I caught on quick until these certain scenarios that came up 2-3 times where you don’t follow suit and the bower changes or something crazy
  20. Where I live there’s 800 bazillion tiny shad so 2.5 inch on 1/8oz head is what I throw. 20 inch smallmouth can’t get enough of them
  21. I don’t like going below (or above) 6 lb line for anything on spinning gear
  22. I’ve got aluminum boats so I wouldn’t know for sure but I don’t think aesthetics will be your issue. It would be easier to paint your ceiling if it was laying on the ground is kind of what I’m saying haha. When you apply liquid resin to something above you, gravity will want to pull it down. But it appears a few people that posted above fixed theirs from below so I would assume it’s possible. The absolute proper way to fix would be by flipping it over but I sure don’t have that capability. You could also hire the work done, there are some extremely skilled glass guys in my area
  23. It’s just 1,000 times easier to work on flipped over. All the goo wants to fall out when you work from below it, but I’m sure it can still be done.
